I don't usually buy the 6 packs at HD cause I get them in the nursery. I just get those single plants. They cost $3.68 each here this year.

Our last spring frost date for my zip code is listed as April 23rd. That nursery I bought my stuff at agrees on that for our area. I plan to be planting starting this weekend I think.

I just went out and planted my onion sets. I have White Ebenezer and Red Westerfield. I also have some that came as plants for scallions. All planted.

Have to go now and start some seeds. My brocollli is not started yet, nor my pak choi or tatsoi., I do see something trying to break ground on my sunflower seeds that I had already planted.

Has anyone ever had a problem getting peat pellets to soften?

Yup that's what I was gonna say. Use hot water. Had some last year that where a few years old and had to soak in hot water.

So in my hast to cover some plants last night because of the cold winds, I forgot to check what I left out on the deck. Lost a few Eggplant seedlings which I just found. It's no biggy, I have more seeds and more seedlings inside.

I still have tomatoes to plant but I did get lots of them in ground today. The eggplants and peppers I will wait on, still too cold at night for them.

I have seedlings but I will just continue to bring them in at night and set them out each morning untill it gets warmer.

Well, the hot(boiling) water finally worked, but not w/o a lot of encouragement from me. 72 cells! And I have 2 more trays to go! The vege seeds I planted last week end are really going to town! And I was afraid I had waited too late to start. Sticking tongue out
These next trays are annual flowers. The weather is predicted to be mostly cold and wet next week, so think I have more time for seeds.

All my tomatoes that I planted out yesterday are looking great this morning. The nice rain we had overnight watered everything in well.

I have lots of eggplant seedlings. Plus peppers, some basil and zucchini and some cukes here all to plant but it is too early.

I put them out during the day and bring them in at night. Maybe by the end of this coming week it might be warm enough to plant them out.

I have lots and lots of eggplant. And I intend to buy still more pepper plants. And I have so many tomato plants, mostly already planted out.

All my tomatoes are planted cause the last of them, 8 plants that I mail ordered came this afternoon and I already planted them out. Tomorrow and over the weekend I plan on putting in my eggplants. And I guess my zucchini 6 pack that I bought as well.
