@Eviesmummy: Kate, Glad that you caught the photo; it was after seeing your order list that I thought to take a pic to share. When a photo of it was offered as possible trade, I knew I wanted it. It's been a great little consistent semp since. I got 4 in the trade and still have 4. Hoping to have offsets this Spring? Big Grin

I finally got some photos of my little semp seedlings.
The heuffelii 'Musketeer' x 'Sempervivum 'Treebeard' is almost scary. Many of them are already showing red coloring. There must be a kazillion of them. Blinking

S. 'Oddity' x S. 'Red Lion' has maybe 5 seedlings. Very sad. Hopefully one of them will be worth the trouble. Rolling my eyes.

All 5 of those seedlings will be fabulous I'm sure!!!!! The other seedlings look good, love the red on some of those. Is this the first time you have made crosses and grown seedlings?

Yes it is Julia. I have had seedlings come up in the beds, when I was careless about keeping the spent blooms deadheaded.

Looks like...kazillion and one, Lynn! Do you have a special technique to separating them? please share with us so that we can be in the "know". I don't have as much as you but separating at least a hundred plus can't be all that easy either... Blinking

Good morning Peter.
I can't be sure of it Peter. The seed came from Muskateer, so will know more when the plants start to mature. I did hand pollinate using the pollen from Treebeard. We will see what happens.

Sure wish you could come J.C. The clinic is free, and I could pick you up at the airport. Hurray!

Guess what I found in my refrigerator..... a packet of seeds I got from Julia a couple of months ago. *Blush* *Blush* *Blush*

I really meant to "winter" sew them but guess it is too late for that. Can I just sew them into a protected spot now? Shrug!

Isn't it still cold where you are, Marilyn? I would do the milk jug technique and then put them outside. Just my 2 cents...

Thanks, It is going to be in high 60s today and low 40s tomorrow-- and that is just the way it is here in the foothills
of the Rockies. Up down, up down, up down snow as late as mid May.

I will get those seeds in some dirt today or tomorrow. Thanks, so much.
