Thanks Jean -- right now i'm focused on my hostas and northern plants. Should be back in FL by mid Oct or sooner... weather depending. While I am at different locations, I miss my other gardens.

@tcs1366 I can certainly identify with missing the gardens. Wherever I am I always wonder what's happening at the other location.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

Hi everyone, I'm Chris. Boy am I glad to find this forum! I just moved to Pensacola from New England, with a smallish yard one block from a large bayou in zone 9a. I am SO anxious to get things planted! Really want some fruit trees, vegies, and flowering shrubs. Being new to this climate and not much of a gardener anyway, I need plenty of advice! I'm retired, about to turn 70 Blinking , and live with my wonderful dog Jack. I haven't seen a list of good or rated plant sources here. Is there one?

Angry I just arrived in Boca Raton from Easton, PA. I had to give away all my plants among other stuff. I have seeds from most in a safe place.

My little dog, Winston the pug, loves the weather. He is very old, but he will spend his remaining days in the sun.

Gardening is limited to patio plants for now. Looking forward to growing gardenia, jasmine and other tropical beauties!

Hey Charleen...didn't know you were "here" here now. Knew you had bought land, but not that you had made the move. I can add Miss Caylie and First Belle to your brugnation if you don't already have them.

Hi y'all!!

New transplant from NY. Here to stay. I think, anyway..!!

I had to leave most of my belongings behind, but hopefully, I'll have the ability to get them down here sometime in the fall. Crossing Fingers!

Among those belongings are six lemon trees (range in age from 5 years to 35 years old), one grapefruit tree (21 years old), a bay laurel (about 12 years old) and numerous plants not in pots.

I also left behind two fur baby girl calico cats, one curmudgeon of a 21-year-old daughter, and an awful lot of books!!! Drooling

See you all around the forums!

I tip my hat to you.
Moving from New York to the Treasure Coast leaves me feeling like a newbie in the Garden. Nevermind that I've been at it for 35 years! :P
