I wish you all would stop posting pics of Mama's Cherry Pie!!! I so want that one, but am afraid if it will fade in my furnace-blast sun ... Sticking tongue out

Seriously, Mike, I hope you get all those photos into the database ... they are all gorgeous!

Tina, it hasn't yet faded here (although it does get shade for most of the afternoon).

I'm all ears!
Did you know if you import your own images from a thread you posted them in, you not only get the 1 acorn for submitting the image but you also get another 1/2 acorn for importing it from the thread? nodding
If you listened to the recent new podcast, you know that I scour forums all over ATP looking for images to import. (I don't need the acorns so that's not why I do it LOL) I feel they should be shared with everyone, not just hidden in a thread. Thumbs up
So everyone, please don't forget to add them!

Not fair, Mike! Hilarious!

And, I had no idea we could maximize our acorns by first posting our own pic to a thread and then clicking it to load to the database ... Awesome!! Thanks for mentioning that tip, Sue ... I agree that it is wonderful to see everyone's photos get into the DB (too hard to go back and find photos from previous year's posts!) so I'm glad for the ability for the poster, or anyone else, to recommend the transfer. Hurray!

I stumbled upon that by accident one day when I imported some of mine from a thread.

I am excited, this thread called my attention to white edges. Today I was surfing thru the lily auction and Blackbeard's Ghost caught my attention it has a double edge and one of them is cream. Well I had to place a bid now it will be coming to my garden this spring. The photo and the description sound and looked like my kind of daylily. Now I will check out the photos here.

Very pretty! Not what I would have expected from the name (I was thinking darker) but a lovely flower none the less!

Thanks James the hybridizer was unknown to me not sure if he just sells on the auction. I can't wait to see BG bloom in my garden hope it likes it here in MN.

What does it look like Blackbeard's Ghost?

Glen the only picture I can find of it is on the closed lily auction. The hybridizer listed BG with his photo. The picture in the post by Tina is not the one. You need to be a member of the lily auction to sign in and view the closed auctions in order to see it there for a period of time before it is removed. Here is the description: BLACKBEARD'S GHOST. (Ridder) TET. 6.5" electric-purple blooms with a black-purple eye and double edge of black-purple and white. 28" scapes.
The bloom does not look like a bagel it leans more to a slightly UF appearance to my eyes.

Betty, I would so love to be able to see closed auctions on the http://www.daylily.com/ site ... is this the one you mean? (I think there's more than one auction site out there...). I'm a member, and signed in, but have never found where to view past auctions ... hoping! Hurray!

Okay, Lyle, now I've gone from teeth chattering to Drooling! Awesome poly ... :D

Tina yes that is the lily auction, go to the auctions log in and on the upper right side there is a box where you can type the name of a daylily you are looking for if there is one or more available it will show the cultivar. You must be logged in in order to get to the closed auction box. Like I said earlier you can view them for a certain amount of time before they are removed.
