Thanks everyone, although you aren't helping pick which ones to toss.
That's about it for the SDBs. I have a handful of IBs blooming, but nothing worth showing. The TBs will start in a few days, if they survive the weather moving through tonight.
Okay, if it helps any: if they were mine, I'd toss #1, 2, 4, 7, and mayyyyybe 10.
My opinion only:
#1 too close to #3, the one that you like.
#2 is kind of a wallflower, it sort of fades away when I look at it.
#4 - just something about the color combination is jarring; like the ruffles, though.
#7 - too similar to #10. I'd take #10 over #7.
#10 - Those blue beards are sure something, but the rest of the bloom is pretty similar to #7.
I would keep the second yellow in this second post over the one in the first post.
TBs have started as well, lots of amoenas and bicolors.
The next three are all siblings. I really like the heavy substance, ruffles, and the flared and overlapping falls. Plus, the last two are really close to being black and white amoenas.
Not sure what to think of this one. When it produced its first flower, I thought it had been damaged by some frost we had late week so broke it off and tossed it. Nope, that's how it is supposed to look....
The last four are siblings, an interesting cross to say the least. Trying to figure out which to keep.
Offered in the spirit of 'Kent wants feedback' these are the ones I'd keep:
#1 I LOVE the first SDB and I am not a huge fan of whites.
#2 I'd keep the second SDB, too. The beard color is a pleasing contrast without being garish, form is attractive.
#5 Like the color and form. It's different enough (to my eye) to hold on to.
#7 Seriously good one, here
#9 I didn't like this one until I took a second/third look. It's 'feels' like a soft old braided rug made out of worn farmer's denim that city folk fight over and pay thousands for. Short version: I'd keep it.

I love the iris photos but I am no judge on which should go. They all have something special that indicates they are garden worthy. It will take a 'hybridizers eye' to make that assessment and that I do not possess. All are lovely.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
