If you don't introduce the one with the correl beard, I'd sure think you should keep it and keep working on it to be what you want. It's very nice.
Get Multnomah Falls and cross them to improve both beards. I think your beard if better!

Intro them and keep working on them. I think it's a great iris!

#8 is really nice with that pale buttercream (like it much better than the more common whites)
#11 I like that the pattern and coloration is on the subtle side
#13 I LOVE that color!

I'd buy #8 in a heartbeat. Thumbs up

Your plicata (#10) looks an awful lot like Acoma (even down to the orange to purple beard).

I like the striated falls and orange beard on #2, and really like #7 (pink beard) but wish the standards were a bit bigger.

I have Multnomah Falls, one of a pretty small number purchases this year. Might have to try that cross, although I actually other ideas in mind. Of course, it has to make it through the winter and bloom, never a sure thing here. Hilarious!

Yeah, the plicata probably isn't going to stick around long, although more because of its growth habits than any resemblance to other irises. I just found it interesting as it came from two non-plicata parents.

The second iris was one of my favorites, but it may be a bit of wishful thinking. I did a number of crosses, eight to be exact, involving 'Dawn to Dusk' in 2012. Turns out it may not be the best parent. I tossed almost all of its seedlings as they bloomed this spring, except for that one.

I forgot to mention that I was surprised that a plicata came from non-plicata parents. I think that is interesting too. Have any of your other crosses ever produced a plicata?

Too bad about #2, I quite like it.

Since plicata is a recessive, plants can carry the gene & then it pops up: Surprise!

Dee -- that first picture is a photographic marvel!! If you didn't know what you're looking at -- you wouldn't know what you're looking at!!! Blinking It's beautiful!

The seedling is wonderful!! I love the golden shoulders, and the stripe down the center of the fall. Don't know if that stripe has a designated name/description or not. Confused

I would like to take this opportunity to make a public thank you to Dee for her generosity. An error was made in shipping labels, and I received a *gift* Iris intended for another customer. The box was addressed to me, but the paperwork inside the box was for someone else. I contacted Dee and told her what had happened. I also told her that if the rhizome in question wasn't so expensive, I would simply send her a check. But it was -- so I couldn't do that. I asked her what she would like me to do, expecting that she would say either mail the rhizome back to her -- or please forward it on to her customer. Her response was to do neither -- she told me to keep the Iris and enjoy it. The Iris in question is her new introduction -- *Victorian Fancy* -- a $45.00 Iris. Can you imagine?????

Now THERE'S a vendor who deserves public acknowledgement, and thanks. Thank You!
