Well boo hoo. Crying
The rain battered my crocuses.

BUT my tulips are coming and I found a hyacinth.
I don't remember planting hyacinth in the front yard, but apparently I did!
Wonder if it's Carnegie, like I have in the back, or some other color I got hold of somehow and that's why I planted it separately.
We shall see!

It was a lot of bulbs and a fair amount of work but now they can just come back year after year.

Rita, your crocus are really putting in a good show.

Here is Narcissus Tripartite today. This is the best they have ever bloomed, and my Kwanzan cherry trees are also starting to blooms. The front yard is full of color right now.

I'll have to post a few more pics tomorrow, I'm exhausted from working in the garden all day, but I got a lot done, and then came the rain, which I'm thankful for. The cooler temps coming this week will help my blooms last longer.

A lot of my Pink Impression Tulips returned this year. I'm thrilled that they seemed to have multiplied, and weren't all dug up and eaten by the critters.

Thank you all for the compliments.

Pink Impression tulips planted in fall 2010 and 2011, have been coming back every year, this is the best showing yet.

Sancere has also been coming back yearly. I'm sure I would have more blooms if my tulip bulbs weren't being dug up and eaten during the summer.

I bet it will be gorgeous. I was told years ago that tulips did not return yearly in GA. By planting in raised beds, and really amending our clay soil, I've had some good returns. My garden beds are also on slopes, which I'm sure helps with drainage.

There is a lovely red tulip I bought at Brent and Beckies called Come Back Tulips. Those are also fabulous at returning, even down south like your way.

I may have to try some this fall.

Pink Impression and Sancere were bought from the Netherland Bulb Co. They send really nice bulbs, and they're inexpensive.
