Dragged 3 of 5 hoses around today hoping it would entice the called for rain to fall...no such luck. Will drag the other 2 tomorrow and do a load of laundry. I almost always hang out on the clothes line, so should get some liquid sunshine for sure Whistling that is to say the clothes go on the line not me Rolling on the floor laughing (figured I'd head off the ribbing :tongue_smilie:) I would love temps in the low 60s or high 50s at night...let the breezes blow with no AC nodding

I agree @gingin about the cool nights with no A/C. Sometimes when I'm outside working for a long time, I feel like I should be hung out on the clothes line to dry out! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

No A/C in this mountain chalet, just mountain breezes. I froze on Thursday night with the temps in the mid 50's. Got under the down comforter. Good sleeping weather. To be honest, I could not bare temps. of 106 degrees. Vermonters, wilt and die when the temps reach 90 degrees here for 1 week of the year. That's called a 'river rush'. Everyone finds a quiet spot along the 'Mad River' down on the Valley floor between the mountain ranges where they can sit and cool off and commune with nature. Bathing attire optional!!!!!!! *Blush* Whistling

Lovely sunshine today at last. But I have slept in again and missed church.

Ahhhhhhhh, we came so close to getting some wet stuff. It came right to the edge of us & then headed south. Dog gone it! We could have used it. At least the cloud cover dropped the temp. for a bit but the sun is back in full blazing glory now so there go the temps. up, up, up again.

It will probably come a gully wash tomorrow since I have to go to town and the dogs will be home alone. They will just have to get over it...such a mean Momma they have Rolling my eyes.

Weather here today was perfecto! 83 degrees, hot, low humidity. Weather guy is calling for rain showers this evening. So how did I spend my day? The Vermont Dept. of Motor Vehicles renewing my driver's license! Ugh, awful. Last day for me to get this done. I have an 'enhanced driver's license' which means I can enter Canada or the Carribean without a passport. Much like a passport with birth certificate, 2 form of ID showing address, and SS card required. Since I was only renewing for 4 yrs, there was no paper work required, just the facial recognition picture had to be taken. So if I want a quick getaway weekend in Montreal, I only have to show my license at the border checkpoint without a hassle, and go right through. I am only 2 1/2 hrs. by car from Montreal.

Yesterday, I spent all day weeding my garden. I have another full day to go. I had some weeds 2 ft tall, those yellow paint brush weeds. Weed city. Because of my sciatica for a month, I was unable to do this work. So now I am paying the price. I found only 2 plants with scapes. 'Happy Returns' and 'Eeenie Meanie Jellybeanie'. All the plants are very green , big healthy looking plants but only 2 with scapes so far. I think we are at least a week to 10 days behind schedule. We shall see.

I am editing this to add that today at VT DMV they gave me a temporary license. The new permanent license is issued by the US gov't and takes up to 2 weeks to receive. It looks like an ordinary license w/picture but has all my personal info embedded into the card, and states 'enhanced driver's license'. Credit goes to Senator Patrick Leahy for giving Vermonters this benefit since we share a border w/Canada. For the Carribean, this license only works if you are traveling by ship i.e. a cruise.

94.5 here today & we finally cooled off a bit early due to thunder boomers around 5:30. Only .35" of the wet stuff but we'll take it!

The forecast called for rain, but so far, none . At this point I more than welcome some rain, without much wind. Is it too much to a for?

Alex, that is really interesting about the licence! Wish that they had that here, since we border Canada too. Sure would make things easier to take a spur of the moment trip up there, which we can't do now.

I had on a sweatshirt all day today, as it only got up to 64. Yesterday, it was colder, and I needed a sweatshirt most of the day. It poured last night, which woke me right up! Tomorrow's high is only supposed to be 59. What a weird June. It's supposed to get up to 90 on Sunday. Not sure if I'll be able to handle that or not after all of this cold weather!
