A needed gentle rain is falling here.

Just had to tell you that today, June 19, was one of the most beautiful days, weather -wise, I have ever experienced in the state of Vermont. Sunny skies, clear as a bell, 69 degrees, dew point 48. No humidity. I weed-whacked the entire front lawn or the top of my daylily hill. Finally, this property is looking presentable. And we are supposed to have 4 more days just like today. And as a bonus, all my song birds were singing there hearts out in the Sugar Maple trees that surround the house. Just glorious.

Days like that are a treasure. It is really lovely here today also. I see another long walk with the dog in my future for this afternoon.

Oh, it us so pretty and wonderful today that I wish I could have todays weather every day of the year.

It's been 96 for hours now.

No Ann, I don't think I want it that hot here.

It has been in the 90s+ here all week with 70%+ humidity. Same predicted for next week. But in the middle of today, surprise, surprise, we had a really heavy rain, high wind, lightning and thunder storm . . . it didn't do a thing to cool things down and I thought it would beat my daylilies to death, but they bounced right back up with no bud loss. And I don't have to water tonight!!

Geez Sharon, that's hotter feeling than I. We had 44% humidity at the apex of the heat. I know what 90's & 70% feels like though --- that's what I left down south. You step out the door & it feels like a hot, wet blanket was thrown over you & you can't even breathe.

It's really like walking into some kind of steam room. Takes your breath away and you can't get it back again. I could tolerate the heat, I think, but it's the humidity that is a real killer. Even Sunshine wants to turn around and come right back in.

It's always humid here but later in the season, this time the humidity started early.

Yep, that time of year when you go to the door & the dog expectantly goes with you, so excited to go outside & then you open the door, they put their front feet out & stop stock still when they feel that steam hit their nose. They say there's no way they're going out in that stuff!
