That's something my hubby would do too. He's always cold.

I asked Mark why he was so cold. He said it was 60 in the house, so I guess that is a good enough reason. I was in my office all morning, where it is always warmer than the rest of the house. I forgot that I had left the windows open in the bedrooms, so the cold air was rushing in. The second that it hits 70 in here though, he wants the AC on. He can't make up his mind!

Storming here. Been pouring rain for close to an hour. Of course because I watered since we only had a 20% chance of thunderstorms...

James, that sounds about normal to me. Can't seem to water without it raining, but if I don't water, it won't rain. Thankfully, I've got a well!

It started storming here at 5:30 am. The storms were pretty rough with lots of thunder and lightening. I think everyone was woke up by them. We are kind of calm now but I am sure we will be getting more. Got to check the rain gauge because I bet we got over an inch.

Did some cutting this morning...everything looks so dry...ready to have some rain. Don't want to drag hoses tomorrow thanks to the yellow flies

Weather here in Salt Lake has rebounded nicely - feels like spring out there again. But the mountains are very white!

In the sunshine the new daylilies look fine, just hardly any growth. I'll look forward to next year's show.

Yesterday, I finished hand weeding my daylily garden and horrid ski slope. It looks terrific, and I am proud of myself for getting it done. It took me 5 hrs. to finish the job. Also, got some weed-whacking done. Of course, when I finished that job, it rained like the dickens, thunder and lightening last night. Quite a show. Very noisy. Looks like more rain coming late this afternoon, very overcast and dark. Happy for the rain for the gardens, but know that the weeds will be encouraged to grow again. Ugh! Found a 2 scapes on 'Cutting Loose', and 2 more on Nicole's Elephant Ears'. 'Emerald Dream' will be my first daylily to bloom this year. It's just loaded with buds ready to bloom. Yeah!

Hey Debra...Yes, I looked it up in he database, and it was mentioned in the description. The scape that you sent on 'Golden Child' did not make it, so I cut it back. However, the plant has filled out and looking healthy. Some small wild beast tried to dig there way into 'Spirit's' grave through 'Harmonic Hues' planted next to 'Golden Child'. I was appalled!!! eeweee! I filled up the hole again with rocks. Too dramatic for my imagination. 'Spirit' is in doggie heaven romping around the heavens with all the other dogs I have owned that have graced my life. I still cry from time to time barrels of tears like today when I came home with groceries and expected her to greet me at the front door. It's going to take time.

Very overcast and more rain expected today. The humidity doesn't seem as bad today though and temps are not as hot. Feels like only about 70 out right now. In the last 2 days we have gotten 3 inches of rain.

Natalie, I feel your pain, and send you my heartfelt prayers. The heart heals, but the memories last forever. We are blessed.
