Thanks Ursula. A botanist friend told me the tongue orchids flowers are upside down.

Ursula, I am going to start today to try and find my orchid registration book that has been lost for 7 years.

That was the shortest search on record. The list was in a note book listing all my frog call recordings, which is a total surprise to me that it would be in there. Just by chance I looked in it.

Yes, Ursula, No. 49. Laelia anceps!

Thumbs up
Glad you found the list!

Nice Bulbophyllum Lovely Elizabeth! ( no single quotes).
Come to think of it, I have Lovely Elizabeth's Mom, it didn't bloom at all this indoor season.

I like it with the enhanced yellow. Nice contrast.

A couple of new ones in the OC today. First is a Gongora smaug cross that a fellow Master Gardener gave me about a year ago.

And the other is Bc. Fladosa (B. nodosa x C. crispata). It is a first time bloomer for me.

Out under the oak tree, this Epi. radicans is getting ridiculous. Look for the long roots and the globs of orange flowers.

Wow, the Epi radicans looks gorgeous with the nice leaf collage as a backdrop, Jim. I drive by a house with a huge pot of them, and every time I see them I think "I really should move mine somewhere it will get more sun . . "

Then we were driving past Selby on 41 today, and would you believe they have planted the medians in the road with Epi. radicans, out there in the full, blazing sun? They look just gorgeous. Wish I hadn't been driving or I could have taken a picture!

Love the color on Fladosa, too. I am partial to that clean style of flower, I must admit. Floof is nice in moderation, but give me simple and elegant any day. Brassavolas . .. Lovey dubby

I build them up into "pots of colour" in hanging baskets and move them around the garden for colour effects.

I agree, nice lip.

Jim, I am partial to the Gongora! Very neat!!
I like the Fladosa too. I suppose I like this type of "clean" Orchid a lot, but then I will flip for nicely scented floof every time. Variety is nice too.

Sounds interesting, Glen.
