I wish I could get my hydrangeas to perform like that. Very nice everyone. I really enjoy this thread. We are having a lot of rain.
I came home to a jungle that will take weeks to tame. I set up a step ladder to trim some branches today and it sunk into the ground when I climbed it.
So maybe I put on some weight during our trip? I cut the grass and was pushing water the entire time. Even as I write this it is raining hard. I'll get
organized and post soon.

Wish we had some here too!! I've never seen the ground so hard!
Here are my new bearded iris garden areas. I am very proud of finishing this project this year because they were in a dark wet area for years and never bloomed. I'm hoping I will finally see what I am growing next year.
Meanwhile, here is the area they came from with new plants.
Those little white Anemonopsis macrophylla? They are adorable!! I don't think I ever remember seeing them before.
Kathy, beautiful garden even in August!
No rain today but it is still wet enough to float a boat in any and all parts of the garden. It is also very hot and humid, so much so that no one wants to be out in it.
I'll have to wait until the third week of October to see much of a break in this weather.
