Beautiful winter scenes!
What is the little glass globe? And - is that a path to the sauna?

The former owners were glass sculptors so they left a few glass balls. The path winds around the barn and is used for dog walking, path to chip ice off the roof and for the propane delivery guys. We snowshoe a path to the sauna but we haven't had a sauna since Christmas week.

We got about 18" last Wednesday. The roads and driveway are clear and I took a 2 mile long walk today. It is a true New England winter so far (no ice or sleet, just nice fluffy snow).

This means it's spring....right?Thumb of 2011-01-20/ctcarol/e408c1

Not really. This clump was under a large pelargonium and the bulbs pushed themselves out of the ground, This warm spell prompted it to bloom. Most of my Daffs are a few inches tall.

Beautiful snow pics, Kathy. Thanks for posting. 74 degrees today. Does this mean my Florida has returned to me?

Well that would make sense since our New England is definitely here now. It took me an hour today to scrape off the half inch of ice coating the entire car. We had flurries today and there's supposed to be another storm on Friday.

Beautiful weather here today. Much of the garden looks bare and perhaps dead but here and there I can see a few flowers. This is a begonia.
