This AM everything was soaking wet and soggy when the heavens opened up to sunshine. I took lots of pics of course. You could see tiny drops of water in the air floating sideways.

The rest of the day wasn't too shabby either.

Ursula, re the kitty. A year ago he was so skinny his shoulder blades stuck out and his fur looked terrible...DH called him the Biafran cat next door.
We felt so bad for him, we started to feed him twice a day. Now I think he looks very healthy.

Thunder, lightning and rain at long last! It has been weeks..

You poor babies! My 96 ga. of rain water is 1/3 gone, and getting pretty funky, and I'm trying to calculate how many ga. of distilled water I'm going to have to buy each week. Our summer is just starting!
Don't ever believe the stuff you read about "sunny Cal."!

Here's an expensive experiment. I hired a guy to help me do this hippie garden today (hippeastrums that is). I used to put out pots but they'd fill with rain water and the bulbs would rot. So I popped them out of the pots this year to see if it increases my bloom next winter. If not, I have a new garden space (to weed)!!!

Boojum, I am so happy that you are doing this as I have been contemplating bedding my hoard ( plus a couple of yours) outside for the summer too, but too chicken to try it. Can't wait to hear the results. Patti
