I would also like to give credit to Michele Thank You! for her discussion of the merits of using 'Alfalfa' on our daylilies to promote growth and good health. I use the 'organic meal', not the pellets, but obviously, both work wonderfully. A 50 lb. bag has lasted me 2 yrs. with some to spare. I also use it in my small mountain veggie garden. It really is amazing natural fertilizer. Thumbs up Thumbs up Hurray! Hurray!

This is our latest acquition--a seedling from hybridizer Sandy Nall--she was selling last Saturday at Lilyland Daylilies and we saw this one and purchased it. It is unlike anything we have in our garden--we have named it Sundown Skies, since we often get clouds in the evening that have all these different colors.

Daylily told me that I needed to come & share my daylily pictures with you all. Definitely not as colorful and exotic as a lot of the ones everyone else has, but these guys have probably been blooming here for decades.

Welcome! Terri!! We love to see daylilies like yours; most of us have daylilies like that and really enjoy them in our gardens. Yours is a really beautiful orange/red with great frills on the edges! I'm so glad daylily invited you to join in! Group hug

YANKEE PINSTRIPES is amazing! Makes me wonder how many of our future daylilies will have stripes. I love them! Polka dots would be kind of cool, too! Anyone up for that challenge? Hilarious!

Welcome! Terri! That is a beautiful daylily! Thanks for sharing the pictures! I grow that one too, but my dogs keep running over the top of it!

I use alfalfa pellets for my veggies and hosta also. Haven't used it on most of the other flowers, because most of them don't like to be fertilized. Still trying to figure out which ones would appreciate it, but don't want to add it until I know for sure.

Natalie you can experiment. Put the pellets on a small group and evaluate them at the end of the season compare to the others in the same area.
Very beautiful blooms everyone. Several that's blooming around here.

Mike, that is a great idea, but I have almost no multiples of plants! I'm starting over since moving, and have to work my way up to two of a kind! Rolling on the floor laughing Love the blooms, Mike! Especially Wild Horses! Mine bloomed today, and I was so excited to see it! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! I'll post pictures in a bit.

Welcome! Gale! Beautiful blooms that you have there! What is the daylily that you don't like the color on? It's a perfect looking bloom! Looks huge, too!
