Brinda,
What are y'all doing today without football?
I'm looking at plants for March and working on my Cubits.
I took a pill made for 8am and was wide awake until 4am.
Not fun.
Time to get out in the sun and hoe. All my ground cover appears dead. I'm certain the ornamental peanut will thrive. Last year it dawned on me that I should grow real peanuts there.
This years garden is going to be veggies, brugs, Gerainium, and coleus.
Off to work.

Oh Brinda has been off having a REAL Valentine's Day unlike me and probably most of us.

HELLO JANET! WOW you are so talented. I LOVE your collages. They are just great! And thank you for your great valentine!

Oh Pheadra I hope spring hits you soon! Sunshine, what zone are you in? I thought you must be where it stays warm in Florida for didn't you once say coleus were perennials where you are?

Hi Alice, Hi Juanita!

I was at the coolest nursery the other day. Look what they had, a huge living picture on their wall.

Kell I saw one of these planted several years back on Lynette Jennings show and have wanted to do that every since.
Now if I could just remember the methods they used.
They are very pretty.
We had the longest recorded cold snap in history here the first 2 weeks in Jan.
I don't think my hardy tropicals made it. the 108 rooted cuttings got soggy before I got back to Jax.
I had a real pretty Hibiscus tree I had planted in Sept and I'll be surprised if it's still alive.
I know I'll be getting new copperleafs.
Usually I can put trays out front(SW facade) and next to my red brick foundation they hang in there. Not this year
I look upon it as a time to start anew. My neighbors were disappointed last year when I didn't plant.

Woohooo!!!! I had the most fantabulous weekend! Today, Allan is A #1 in my book. LOL We left early Saturday morning and went downtown and spent the weekend. Including (but not limited to) a wonderful massage! (Wow, I want more LOL) Then off to a fantastic cajun restaurant and I had the most wonderful crabcake with (shoot, can't remember the name, but had crawfish) sauce with a vegetable medley and garlic mashed potatoes. As I was sitting there eating, I thought of Kell and how I should have brought my camera with me. After that we went to a quiet (and dark) little bar and sat for hours on the leather sofa in front of a roaring fire. Then after that... off we went to the PBR (I know, doesn't sound romantic but hey, this is Oklahoma). Then back to the hotel... and I might add our room was on the 15th floor so someone like me with vertigo, I didn't even need to drink, everything was spinning anyway. Sunday morning we had a wonderful breakfast and headed out to An Affair of the Heart and I totally enjoyed my weekend!

See, I told you... Allan is A#1 today! LOL

Kell, that pic way up there with the pink people. LOL I laughed so hard!!!! The day I left to get a haircut, I was in that kind of mood!

Janet, Hi & Welcome... It's great to see you and your beautiful collages.

Juanita, I hope the snow is melting fast for you. We had a bit of snow early yesterday and I thought about you. Anymore, every time we get snow I think of you and what is headed your way. Ick!

I have more to say but I have to run for a bit and get Braden. Who is starting the next thread? I think we should all take turns starting a new thread each week, but of course... you'll have to have a song and sing to all of us. Any takers????

BBL

BTW, I love this one Lovey dubby

PBR!!! Used to go all the time. Then they stopped coming anywhere close to us and went all Hollywood. Left my membership expire. Now with the problems between Versus and Comcast we can't even watch it on TV. Who won Brinda??

1 to 3 inches expected. I will not be happy with anything less than a foot. I mean what the heck. I am so screwed here that what's a little more?? Big Grin

LOL Miss Brin! I was reading your eats and thought, did she take a pic? Do not take one now of it. Yes, exactly. LOL

Allan is NO 1 in my book too. Tom made me scrambled eggs for Valentines. He did not even dye them red. But I made sure to tell him what Allan had done for you several times yesterday! Remedial love lessons.

So what is PBR? Public bathroom? LOL Allison, not too romantic in California! LOL Juanita, you need a membership to go to a public bathroom, must have that one wrong for sure!

So Sunshine, what is your zone? LOL. Sounds like a pick up line doesn't it. We a pick up line on DG. We had the warmest winter I can ever remember. I have old petunias flowering! I need to go foliar spray to get things going today or tomorrow. Somehow when I try to make things like that living picture, it never turns out the same and it always costs more money than had I just bought it already done! At that nursery they wanted $3 per 2 inch succulent pot. Way too much!
Don't believe everything you think!

Kell,
I'm in 8b/9a and who really knows.
Things freeze in my yard and not in a friend's house on the river.
Some years I had a real sturdy coleus that grew for 3 years.
I had some rooted that went before I could get here to save it.
The Jet stream is all Caliwhappered letting us freeze for 2 weeks.
My yard looks the worst ever.
I am collecting Brugs again. Got 4 varieties of cuttings and am eying more.
I loved the 'Pink Diva' picture.
My 73 yr old cousin came thru Jax last year, her hair was Deep Hot Pink.
I went back to brown hair.
Someone printed a b & w photo of me and I thought "Who's that old lady?"
My hair was brown again the next day.
