Hey everybody....whew... back from vacation. Now I need a vacation to get over the vacation. We logged close to fifteen hundred miles of smooth driving, climbing mountains and whizzing over flatlands. I did not know the speed limit was seventy. I thought it was sixty. I settled in at sixty five an cruised a great big one hundred fifty miles of it. Now I ask you was that not nice. Especially since I have not been off the corner in at least three years to travel. lol. We had a great time. We stayed three nights at Petit Jean National park and cruised on up on a very winding up and down scary road 7 to the Steel Creek Buffalo River area. That is where Sandy wants to paddle so bad. Unfortunately they would not put in with her. It is too cold yet. They open March 1st. I am posting a pic so you can see where she wants to paddle. Great to be back. All alone for the first time in a long long while. Goat is still at the vets in her Diva quarters. We will pick her up this evening. Hope everyone is doing good. I gotta get caught up. shirleyt oh I forgot Daffodils and Narcissus,and red buds are blooming Spring in not far behind for everyone. yeah

Shirley, it sure sounds like you had a wonderful vacation. I know Sandy really enjoyed your time together. And those pics look great. But tell me about paddle? Do you mean Sandy wants to get in a paddle boat out there?

Hey Shirley... I think the speed limit's been 70 for awhile now. LOL

Brin She loves to kayak and her dream is to kayak the Buffalo River. You can see the cliffs are awesome. She has done some of the Swanee River in Florida and in the Wukala area. Of course she has done everything here except the Pearl River and I do not want her to do that. Current is swift and a lot of debris from Katrina. There was a drowning last year. This was my favorite view of our vacation.

Hi everyone! can't chat much right now but wanted to say hello... it's almost coleus season. i for one am ready for spring and summer. it's been a snowy snowy winter and i need to see some green.... and some coleus!!!

gotta catch up with all the posts. that's what 2am is for LOL.

hi Joy.. how are you?

doing well, growing munchkins instead of coleus all the time LOL. I still owe you a packet of seeds. i'm pretty lame- it only dawned on me that i can get stamps at the grocery store rather than trying to go to the PO... i am never home during their short business hours. i hope the mailman picks up bubble envelopes from home mailboxes... do you know if they do?

also, are you going to the philly flower show? i'm going this sunday... hopefully i can check out ray rogers' stuff. i might have to try to pinch (with permission, of course). he said he may enter into competition a stock plant of one of my homegrown coleus seedlings named after my son "Isaac" if it is still doing well.

debating on whether i'll renew my membership to the PA horticultural society or just get a ticket. my family can't go all together this year and i'll be going alone, so it's almost not worth getting a membership... i never make it to the free plant dividend days anyway.

but i digress. goodness i'm online to pay bills while i'm waiting for tomorrow's meals to be done cooking. gotta work tomorrow. bleh. so i'd better jet for now.

To tell you the truth I forgot all about the seeds... no biggie.. not sure if I am going to make it out to Philly... having a party here for my dad tomorrow for his 75th birthday.. going to be beat on sunday.. beat now.. but tell Ray I said hello... please take photos if you go.. can't wait to see Issac!!!.. how cool is that???!!!????

Hi Ted! glad to be here... glad to see everyone here. trying to get my coleus mojo back LOL. my poor coleus have been neglected and i've lost alot. but amazingly, the ones i do have are the biggest ones i've overwintered... because i didn't go cuttings-happy... not yet.

Still feeling my way around cubits. i have to find my way back to the Gebhardts co-op LOL. i think the deadline is tomorrow... although my wallet would thank me if i skipped it.

I've been away for the weekend and need to work on my list for Gebhart's. It ends tonight, right?

:)))) I have to admit, I'm so LOST in this Cubits-jungle. LOL! Most of the time I have no idea where I am and how to get back to where I was. I keep searching for Janet's Cubit, and can't find it again. I also keep stumbling into some other coleus forums here where I don't know a soul (I have no idea how many coleus cubits there are here :)))

I have clicked my way back to the Home-list several times and from there I have walked around and lost my way again - every time. I guess my problems are due to the fact that my sense of direction is quite non-existant, I always carry a bunch of maps when I'm out travelling in "real life". The only places on Earth I don't need maps are in Oslo, Stockholm and NYC :)) These cities are easy. In Amsterdam and London I'm instantly lost the minute I enter.

So, if I'm not showing up here for some weeks, you may send a search team after me. Then I'm probably lost somewhere in one of the many Under-Cubits....
Yes, I must remember to bookmark favourite places......:)))))))))
Anyway, it is FUN to explore a new world like this, so I will not give up yet.
