VERY muggy here this morning after last afternoons rain. Now 83.2, 77% humidity & dew point 75. Just started raining again & storms moving in. Looks like I get to shut down & unplug the computer again. That's summertime here!

Yesterdays forecast for today was 90. They've lowered it to 89. Don't know why, but 89 sounds so much better than 90. Hilarious!

I agree it's just like $4.99 is better than $5.01 Hilarious! Only 82 degrees for morning weeding today, so got two good hours in, a thorough workout, and then a very refreshing shower and clean hair afterward ... I love to let my hair dry in the warm breeze on the porch!

Nope, It's not an Angel ,... that's just wet hair drying in the breeze AhhhhhMmmmm ...

A beautiful summer day here. Warm but not so much that you can't get anything done out in the garden.

Cloudy this morning. The cats are all huddled from the cold. For goodness sake, they are ragdolls with miles of thick hair and they look like they have one foot in grave. 63 degrees.

Says showers again. With all the rain I have lost one clump of Moroccan Summer to crown rot. I might save one fan. It is my first case. The soil is soggy and I have just mulched - so I am running around ensuring the mulch is pulled back from the stems. Quite a few now have died down because they are or, pretending to be, dormants or semi-evergreens. I have noted them this year. Funny how "evergreens" can die down too - like Joan Senior.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Oh Glen, to funny! Here we have had beautiful weather the past 4 days, upper 40's at night and mid 70's days, blue skies. Although today it did get to 82f . My Great Dane begins looking for the air conditioner when the temp in the bedroom is above 65.

ragdoll cats are so sweet, though, so maybe we could start up a collection of kitty sweaters to ship over ... I think they'd look so cute! Maybe an avid knitter could make them to look like little tuxedos and the kitties could wear them while waitering tea and sugar biscuits at Glen's 365-days party? ...

I live in the area of Ohio where Juli lives. We have had plenty of rain. The scapes are much taller than normal and buds are bountiful. One registered at 24 inches is chest high on me, even though it was planted last fall.

Is your avatar Chang Dynasty, Dick? It's beautiful!
I'm SW of you and Juli and the rains have nearly washed us away. But I've noticed, like yours, a lot of scapes are unusually tall.

We have had tons of rain too and most scapes are taller. I am seeing a few cultivars that are producing one tiny 12 to 18" scape amidst 30 to 36" scapes. Very strange.

Weather here is very humid and windy with rain coming again.

Good Morning, Dick.......I have Chang Dynasty in my garden, and its one of my top 10 favs out of 150 named cultivars that I grow. For color( hot coral/orange), scape size (30"), flower size (6.75"), and amount of buds( 46) plus rebloom it truly merits top 10 status. I just love it. Here it is in my garden last summer.

Raining. Again. Ruined some great blooms this morning but it was getting a little dry out there so I shouldn't complain.

Really, really windy today. Gust 20mph. Temps around 72. But we are in for 3 days of rain and thunderstorms thru Thursday. That is good because we need he rain. It's very dry. Hoping the rain will produce scapes on many of my plants that look very healthy, green and lush, but not many scapes so far. Bloom season will extend into August this year.

Char, I can empathize with your concerns. Patience is a virtue, so they say! Grumbling
