So I guess I have given the semps on the half baskets enough time to root and attach..so have inverted the lower one so the upper basket is back on top now, then hopefully the media will settle nicely so the semps with offsets below can further latch on to the lower half basket.

I will tie down those two baskets later, in case I change my mind and need to separate them again.

I have been stepping up spray misting this basket daily..just too dry here. But thankfully our temps are comfy now, just in the mid 70's and the city trees are fully leafed out so there is some natural shade protection.

In your part of the country misting daily is a good idea, until they are fully established.
@goldfinch4 gets them growing quickly by using straightened paperclips/wire to pin them into place until they root well.

Yup, there are still some wire pins holding the semps on the lower basket too. Smiling I have moved the basket too, hope that helps in getting it less fried.

Kalinda is a good producer of offsets. I don't know much about Rubellum Mahogany yet, it has only been with me a short while. It is getting quite large.
Your Kalinda looks so healthy.

Thanks Lynn Smiling I was observing Semp Rubellum Mahogany, patiently waiting if it will try to make offsets..very restrained in that aspect indeed. nodding

But I like how fast it becomes big..and bigger. I am still confused if it likes warm or cool..seems to like it both ways. At least it is not too finicky.

I will know more about Rubellum Mahogany after this growing season. I just looked up the date I got it, fall of 2013. I had a terrible time getting it going, but it is finally healthy.

Lynn does the pin go through the centre of the semp and does this not cause any damage ?
Or is it looped over the top of the semp ?
I'm going to make a semp ball soon using my crop of noids .

It is looped over the top with the ends stuck into the ground. That way even the earthworms can't move them in the beds, or holds them in place until rooted for your ball project.
