I sort of figured that, Marilyn, which is why there hasn't been any real news about them. Even though it has stayed above freezing for 36 hours, it is now down to 29 and by tomorrow night, they predict close to zero again.
I hope this won't be like the summer in the 19th century when it snowed in July. Folks here starved when even the rye didn't crop... One Dutchman pulled everyone's chestnuts out of the fire by putting in succession plantings of peas all summer and letting everyone come and pick their own. I love old stories like that! (Although I do hope it isn't prophetic...)
Thanks for everyone listening to my griping!
I can hear your finger tapping, Lynn, but this weather does a number on my face and squinting into a camera has just felt beyond me for the past couple of days... I'll get there!
I really do have quite a few new seedlings (hundreds of Silverine, of course) and one of these days, they will begin to look enough different from each other to be newsworthy. Right now, my little carnivorous plants are the most exciting!
