Also some wandering jews, the wandering jews and African violets are through soil propagation. The others are through water propagation. Sorry I don't know any scientific names, fairly new to this.

This is a very old thread but I'm game. I started a ton of daylily seeds , grafted about 100 persimmon seedlings, grafted about 50 cornus Kousa seedlings, grafted about 30 che on Osage orange, started some juube seeds, started some hybrid persimmon seeds, and rooted some kiwis and a few other things.

I have about 30 seeds of a plumeria I found seeding at the beach in May breaking dirt, and a tray full of Anthurium schlechtendalii seedlings that I grew from seed that are getting size worthy. Recently propagated Costus subsessiles, Anthurium bessaea x magnificum. Have seed pods working on Anthurium crystalinum. They may or may not develop, sometimes they blast

Just pinched off the tip of variegated Cuban oregano and a Japanese lantern hibiscus. The hibiscus does fairly well for me but it is the first time for the oregano.

Wow, how do you keep up with all your propagations...I can do few at a time.

Just propagated my first Hoya from cutting given me from my neighbor; the plant was his grandma's.

Looks like my huge Anthurium spectabile may be making another batch of seeds. Time will tell....this spadix was ready, iy had that 'sticky' feel, and I had several other species that were actively pollinating including A. watermaliense, A. crenatum, A. Schlechtandalii, A. crystallinum and A. vittarifolium. So I smeared pollen from ALL of these on this spadix. It may be interesting to see what grows out if I get seeds...some species of Anthuriums will not cross-pollinate if they come from different groups, but I don't think these are A. spectabile x self because the second mother plant was not pollinating at the time. The spadix is over 15" long so there was plenty of room LOL

This is the hardy Phlox I'm propagating. It should be easy to get roots on this one. It's a beauty. I've never seen one like it.

I started some cuttings of my Phlox, Hibiscus, Acuba, and Salvia 'Dancing Flame.' I stuck these on June 28th. I should start seeing roots next week some time. They need to hurry. I've got more I want to propagate.

Check out the roots on my Salvia cutting. Sometimes I lose these in soil as cuttings, but in this machine every single one takes root.

Currently, I have propagated willow cuttings - out of 3 cuttings, 1 has taken nicely. Since I only really wanted one to work out, I am pleased with the success rate.

I found that a 2 1/2' cutting planted about 10" deep seemed to work better than smaller sections. I also have been watering the cutting very generously since willows like moist conditions. After 5 or 6 weeks, it has started to form limbs and appears to have re-programmed itself to become a tree.

As part of my reading prior to doing this, I also learned of something called Willow Water. Evidently willow branched and leaves can be used to help with the propagation of other plants.

I am also hoping to get some hydrangea shoots and get a few bushes started.
