Gosh, we just had some very light rain. Gloomy: don't like it practically being dark when I leave work at 5.
Plant it and they will come.

We had a few minutes of sprinkles and that was it.
While planting a few seedlings, I noticed that the soil was dust dry.

Another trace of sprinkles today when some squally clouds blew through, otherwise not a bad day.
Plant it and they will come.

A trace sprinkle today, and 0.02 inches yesterday, bringing our 31 day total to a pathetic 0.32 inches. Really dry here.

Ditto on the dry and the niceness of yesterday.
Super moon brightness had lots of critters out at all hours of the night, specially herds of deer, hoping to fatten up for the winter.

The dryness makes me expect natural live XMas trees to be very dry this year. Thumbs down
Plant it and they will come.

I observed the day's loveliness for fifteen minutes before work. And now I have on a thick sweater and am enjoying the deck and cricket sounds (and distant traffic, sigh)
Tomorrow looks pretty nice too. Then... bottom drops out!
Plant it and they will come.

Larry wanted to climb on the roof today to get the leaves off. I reminded him of the 30-40mph wind gusts coming this weekend. He settled for helping me chip/shred a big pile of leaves that are now a big pile of leaf mulch. We're going to clear the lower gutters tomorrow though before the bottom falls out.

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
Rick-reading all your struggles with Larry's idea what needs to be done
vs. reality--just give him a "BONK" on his head to see the light.

I love you two! Never a boring moment..... I get a kick out of you two.
Larry--Get a gardening reality check. That should help......

Sally--I DO NOT own--nor do I ever wear-- a thick sweater. I am cold-blooded...

hang in Jeff! very soon you will be able to get space weather reports. I hear there is always something happening on the Sun!

Super nice day here . Reds are really red this year. Hope to be outside doin stuff all day. Hopefully some customers will shred some of their leaves today for me to pick up on Tues. Can still pack spaces between containers with whole leaves and save any shreddeds for the tops.

I heard the temps were to drop this afternoon and they did. Went into a store, the temp was 71, came out and it was 52, wind was blowing, felt like 43. Very interesting kind of day.

That wind! phew! Tomorrow is to top out in mid=upper 40s? Funny how my mood about yard work changes drastically between 70 degrees and 45 degrees.
Plant it and they will come.

DS thought he hard sleet last night, in that brief rain. Maybe he was right!

BLustery but sunny day. I wish we could work on leaves, but between Mark's headcold and the wind, it's not a good day for it. Well, I guess the leaves will still be here in a few days, while I am off for 5 days WOOT
Plant it and they will come.

Our power is back on for the second time today. Dreading going out tomorrow and collecting up all the pots and such from my sowing/planting/up-potting activities. The winds have been ferocious and the cats are edgy when the sound gets loud.
