I like to try the different types of zucchini. Not just the ones that look like those ones you buy at the store. But in seeds you can find all sorts of interesting types.

I have never made zucchini bread. But I would not be surprised if zucchini bread has been made from ones I gave away.

I wasn't going to! But I couldn't help myself! I'm growing tomatoes and cucumbers and beans. Lots of beans. Pole beans, Blue Lake Bush Beans, Provider Bush Beans -- all snap beans, mind.

The cukes are an heirloom variety called "Bushy" meaning their vines are supposed to be five feet or less.

Oh and banana peppers, have two plants of those too.

Pfft! How could I forget! Lettuce! Two varieties now, two mixes now also (they're not doing much) and then three varieties of heat tolerang seedlings coming along.

Spinach!

Kale!!!

Garlic!!!!!!

LOL!

I'm growing my pole beans again that I enjoyed so much last year--kept a couple of the pods of seeds and placed them in the same spot they were in last year and they are already popping up! Need to get those cherry tomato seeds in, too...

Tomorrow I will be planting all my cucumber seedlings. Also I bought basil seedlings today and will plant those also.

Oh I also bought a six pack of SunSugar cherry tomatoes and two Lemon Boy and two Carolina Gold tomatoes. While I was shopping for the basil they just jumped into my cart and I had to take them home. Whistling Hilarious!

Yeah, so that makes how many tomato plants? 124 or so?

Hilarious!

I decided instead of giving away my two or is it three perfectly good extra cucumber starts (I only have room for two in the ground) I'm going to grow them in containers.

Pole beans are doing their thing and climbing happily up the stakes leaned against the fence which they will eventually have to climb back down upon, haha. I also spoke to the neighbor on that side about her yard guy not running his weedwhacker up and down the fence. I actually spoke to yard guy himself and asked him not to and he asked me to speak to the neighbor directly, so I did. Everyone cooperated. Neighbor is eager to cooperate as she enjoys the garden I've made, to look at, and knows I'll share veggies.

So.

Yesterday I worked a long time in the garden and got the last of my store bought seedlings planted. My basil is in big pots on my kitchen stoop (which is where I usually plant it), my cucumbers are planted along their poles and netting, and those last few tomato plants that I just had to have are all in ground. I am so glad to be done!

I do have various summer squash from seed that I will be planting once it all sprouts and gets big enough to transplant.
