For me, it depends on how it's prepared. I've had some kale dishes I like.

I know kale is a superfood. I know it is extra good for you. But I just can't stand it!

Always at least one healthy food that doesn't make it onto the list!

Kyla, what are some of the recipes you use for your kale?

Pulled out eggplant plants that had shriveled up and died. Picked lots of tomatoes again today. Bad year for eggplants for me but another great year for tomatoes.

I have a few good kale recipes but the main reason I want to grow it is to make Green Juice! which we do a lot here. When I feel more up to speed I'll share that recipe ifyou want.

My SIL does healthy smoothies every morning and I'm pretty sure kale juice is one of the ingredients she uses!

1st cuke successfully picked! It's still a little hard so I'll let it soften a bit. My DD is a cuke lover so I'm sure she'll enjoy it sometime this week.

No sign of any more cukes or of any watermelons. Maybe I need to do some more hand pollination?

How many cucumber plants do you have? Or how long a section of fencing for cucumbers? Usually cucumbers set a lot and don't need any help.

I have one cucumber plant! I have fencing around my yard but nothing special around the cucumber plant.

Oh well, There is the problem. Next year plant a bunch of plants. You will have cross pollination and things will go much better. Things like peas and cucumbers and melons and pole beans and such are not really meant to be loners.

Black cherry and Black Pearl cherry tomatoes. These are so pretty and they taste wonderful.

Well, when I was ordering seeds I think I foolishly ordered some cherry tomatoes -- some kind of mix with different varieties. Foolishly because I can't really eat them very well these days (boring dental issues, we don't want to go there) but I love grazing in the garden! and I know the birds love them too.

Maybe I stopped myself before I ordered those; I really can't remember! We do have a lovely fence section where they would do very nicely. I did order two varieties of bush beans also.

My *ahem* kale sprouts are doing nicely, the dino kale has its first true leaves!

Cherry tomatoes are usually so productive and tasty. So nice just to go out in the garden and pick and eat immediately. Often they don't make it into the house.

hey, Kyla, I'd be happy to work out a seed exchange with you for the cherry tomatoes. Assuming they are a tasty cultivar!

Rita, I know it! Two different gardens I've had, well, one I only worked in, we had cherry toms that grew all over the place, and being able to munch them while I worked was so delightful.

LOL, Catmint! I'll keep this in mind, once I get my seeds. I can tell you I bought them for the visuals, though. It's a mix of cultivars of different colors, and I just thought that was cool. It means, though, that I won't know which seed is which!
