At last we have had a good week here after a very cold May and the first half of June. Everything is starting to bloom here now, except for most of the roses which come later.

Here are just a few of my favorite plants in my garden together with the Greek goddess of youth Hebe

Dear Magga, very nice indeed! A topless lady Goddess in Iceland as a statue! Is it not a bit cold there for that? Rolling on the floor laughing

I put her outside yesterday and she is enjoying the wonderful weather. Hilarious! Hilarious! I keep her inside unless during summer, so she doesn´t catch cold. Summer came late here, this year but it is lovely now. Smiling

Beautiful pictures everyone! Love the bleeding heart! Sure wish it would grow here, just too darn hot! All of last week was 105 - 107! No rain in site, everyones yards are brown and crispy, if not gone all together!

I wanted to share with all of you a wonderful find: some of our native terrestrial orchids called Spiranthes but I don't know if they are Spiranthes lacera, Spiranthes vernalis, or Spiranthes tuberosa.
I was just walking around in the back yard near the woods' edge and noticed them and upon closer inspection it occurred to me the flower structure looked so very similar to an orchid, so I took several pics.
Because I just have a little Kodak EasyShare 8.2 megapixels, some turned out blurry and some showed well enough, I could post them to get feedback from the orchids cubit and a couple on there confirmed, indeed, they were a Spiranthes.
So in the morning, I'll go out with a magnifying glass to look at the lip as one type has a green spot on it.
So here they are:Thumb of 2011-07-09/kevin51/67f1dd

I just found this as I did not go to cubits much, I have to tell you Neil you have some really lovely photos here and you posted pictures of my very favorite flower yellow primroses, I cannot grow them here as it is to hot. I know it is a terrible sin to be this jealous. I hope you keep posting the photos.

Thanks for sharing.

Look at some of my Articles and you will find Candelabra Primroses on there as well! Especially from the Chelsea Flower Show!
Primroses are loved here and spread everywhere, just like wild Cyclamen does underneath my maples.
I am just writing an Article on the worlds biggest flower show which I went to.
Keep well as it is wet here as usual, and thank you for posting.
Regards from England.
