Sorry Ken. I am not a sports fan. Except for hockey that my grandson plays. I simply cannot figure out what all that running around is about and what the umpire calls mean or were called for. Actually I have the same problem with hockey - icing? Offsides??

I truly understand, Mary. Sports, particularly college sports and football are more a way of life here in the South than elsewhere.

You certainly have the weather for it. I have seen some games (bits and pieces) played in Wisc and the poor fellows were playing in snow.

Rolling on the floor laughing Believe me, Mary -- the Packers do a lot better playing in snow than when they have to go to Miami and play in the heat at the beginning of the season !! (I'll never understand how they schedule those games... Miami will probably be in Green Bay in December or something!!)

I got all the pots and plastic and Reemay put away in my greenhouse today... tomorrow is supposed to be reasonably nice again (as in, no rain), but then Friday they're saying we might have snow Blinking (I guess I'd better take advantage of tomorrow to get a few more things taken care of!)

The second half of my garlic is planted. Hurray! I had my son's happy-to-help assistance today, and that was wonderful! Lovey dubby He even made sure that we came back to the house with some cold tomatoes, red peppers and carrots as well. I love these kinds of days! Big Grin

Oh yes, I can see his cattitude very clearly!

Pretty kitty. Is he bird-watching in that picture? He seems very fixated and intent on whatever he's looking at.

Cute cat.

I put a second layer of row cover over my plants because it is supposed to get to low 30s this weekend. My favas have germinated and I saw a few parsnips. I also saw some volunteer leaf lettuce I covered and will transplant later. My purple sprouting broccoli has also germinated.

We got all of the plants into the greenhouse tonight. I'll have to rearrange everything later, but they're in. I brought my coleus cuttings in the house.

I had to do the same thing, got my burlap and sheets out to cover my pepper plants then put a lot of hay on my broccoli, cabbage and kale plants to survive through this weekend. Woke up last night and there was snow on the ground.

@weedwhacker love your cat, he looks so intelligent...bet he knows how to raise heck.

I have cats and a dog and I think the cats get up to more mischief than the dog...the cats tear up my houseplants ski keep most of themin "plant room" with French doors closed. If I leave them cracked open for even a minute the cats rush in there to chew on leaves...ugh. But I love them.

We're having frost tonight here, is getting down to 30. Very windy and blustery out, I picked all the zinnias, marigolds that were still going strong and picked all the herbs...only veggies i have growing are swiss chard and rutabagas, which i think can handle the cold. We shall see in the morning.
