Glen enjoying all those lovely blooms. QR is a beauty. Red Bull will do better with time. Some plants take awhile to hit their stride. I use the Alfalfa pellets and meal. The meal is a little easier to work with. The pellets break down over time to extend its feeding wonders. I mix the pellets with the meal and Milorganite in one container. In the spring I add a little Osmocote to the planting hole or top dress with it in the mix. I pull the mulch back and then mix my concoction in the soil and then cover it back and sometimes top off with more mulch as needed. The cold overnight temp usually preserve the blooms for another day. First pic was yesterday, second pic was this morning.

That is a lovely bloom, Mike, and it does keep well for two days. The following one is also supposed to last two days.

It is a first for me today and a first for our database. GLOW MONSTER. It is by the Australian hybridiser Shelli Green 2012. She is on the other side of the continent to me in Perth, Western Australia.

I everything about it! The form, the color, the substance, everything.

Glow Monster is a very nice one! Looks well bred for Australian climate and sunshine color!

When I first started gardening, I thought I was never going to have yellow flowers because the were so "everyday common". Many of my yellows are what make the whole garden just pop. My all time favorite is Banana Peel. The color, substance, and performance are just fabulous!!! Yellows rock!!!

Glen, I thought the same thing! I didn't like yellows or whites several years ago. But they are the accents that pull all the other colors together and now I have lots of yellows and whites. And they can hold their own just by themselves without other colors

RED BULL looks well today and in your face. This is a my first serius attempt at using the Rule of Thirds in composition. What you think?

I want to see a full frontal view of Red Bull bloom. Hard to tell what it's face looks like from the side view. Glad it is performing much better for you, Glen.

Looks good Glen. We probably use the rule of thirds without even realizing it sometimes. It is nice though to be conscious of how we frame a subject to make it more visually pleasing.
