Carrots planted. Not sure it will work but tried. I put them in my large felt bag. I tried a method my mom read on which was mixing with yogurt and I read coffee grounds. Not sure what I got besides a bit of a mess. In theory and it's to separate the seeds so you won't be thinning. Not sure, but I did a mix to seeds and will see what grows. I'll probably end up with 5 carrots. I don't have luck with them or onions. It's like zinnias too. I have to prestart those buggers.

I'll be heading to the basement shortly and I'll get the fan on the shelves. Though I will start to move plants out on Thursday they can learn what a breeze is until then.

After that I'll be sewing. Time to get that underway too.

I got interfacing cut out and took a break and ate some blueberries which is summer in a bowl everytime I have them. I'm so very lucky to have self pick blueberries nearby. My bushes were decimated by the darn rabbits again. So I think I'll fence them off soon and leave them that way and see if they recover and can grow well. Then I can have some right out my back door.

I should be sewing and I'm going about it slowly. I'm not an ideal shape right now. I'm my own shape, but I hope it will look nice. Always a concern.

The fan is running on those basement plants. I have a few on the porch as it's 60 out there right now.

If I can get these dresses done and I can move on from these projects and back to the plants all will be good! I think I'll be doing both on and off. I always have sewing projects hanging around.

Ok instead of avoiding further, I best get back to the tasks at hand.

Find some green today!

It is crazy windy outside today. I went out and was going to work on an Iris bed but decided to straighten up some garden decor instead. I picked the first small helping of asparagus just now. The rain this Friday and the up coming heat will make it really start to grow.

My BFF is coming with her sister to get some horse manure for her gardens. I am afraid it might be too windy but we'll see.

Tomorrow is a light wind day so I hope to work outside all afternoon. DH has therapy in the morning.

Dress almost done less the hem. I'm sewing skirt seams and then need to attach to bodice. Will be glad to have this done. Then I'll cut out the next one for mine. So far it looks ok - minus the world of foundations. I'm not wrestling today.

It looks like rain out. We most certainly need it and hopefully it's a soaker, but I don't think it will be.

I think tomorrow I'll finish the dresses and then Thursday head to the greenhouse and maybe Friday for groceries since neither are in the same direction. Of course if the next dress goes together easier, then maybe I can go tomorrow and just leave hems to do. Will have to see.

I'm finally starting to see leaves on the bushes and trees. Yay! Green! Green makes me happy. Now if everything catches up and the nights warm up, things will be good.

Rains a coming it's mighty dark out w sunshine on top.

I had hoped to work the garden a bit when I got home today but my foot said no. The uneven ground really put the hurt on it so did a load of laundry instead.

I was almost done w the dress and tried it on and I'm now ripping out. That's how it always goes for me. Ah well.

Have one kid at a ballgame and another at a learning type meeting. I just finished dishes and am contemplating what I'm doing w the dress.

I really need to get a walk in starting tomorrow. It's not going to be immediate help but every little bit is a help right?

Amanda: sorry about the foot. When a foot hurts it's terrible and I swear more inflammed then they should never be.

Jeanne: you sent me the wind! Sun is out though and maybe it will settle down overnight and make for a better day tomorrow.

Well I best go deal w the dress. It's not getting done with me ignoring it. Sighing!

I'd post a picture of the bruise but it's nasty enough that everyone would take off screaming bloody murder. I'll skip. Hilarious!

My BFF and her sister came over this afternoon. We loaded up their tubs with horse manure. It might be a little fresh but they plan to mix it up with other soil so that should be fine. We then sat in the "She (He) Shed" and had several beers, laughed some great deep laughs, and visited. What a great time with friends.

DH and I then got ready to go into town to have pizza. Sometimes I order it to go and then pick it up 15 minutes away. Tonight DH decided that he wanted to go there and eat which was nice.

I am hoping tomorrow to spend a lot of time outside but probably not as much as I would like cause we have therapy tomorrow morning. The trip is a half hour each way with about an hour therapy time. It does take a chunk out of the day. Just say in.....

I hate midday appts just for the that it's a time eater! Good luck w the therapy and hope your husband gets a clean bill of health soon!

And laughing is fantastic!

AM: annoyed by the dress and trying to fit this all in at the same time while balancing 900 other jobs. It's delightful! No it's not. Maybe I should go to the greenhouse tomorrow and just buy even though it won't be warmer until Thursday. Maybe they would be best!

Well, trying to find some optimism. I'm sorely without.

Still in prayers for a quick recovery, Amanda. Group hug 🙏

Got all the tomato seeds sown today! 10 seeds for each variety, for good measure. That makes 100 seeds I sowed in total. I'll probably only use 15 or 20% of that number but whatever. I'm making sure I get good germination, lol.

Johannian: I leave feel guilty if I sprout more than I want to use and then I will plant the ok sta because they are growing so nicely! You'll be up to your eyeballs making all things tomato I'm sure. Green Grin!

Mornin all!

AM: I think I sat my waterbill aside and it's due. I'm inundated in paper at this house. My moms, a deceased family members and of course this household. I was sorting stuff the other day and I think it's in that pile. Really throwing it all in a burn barrel sounds more appropro.

Today I may head for the plants. I'm bogged down with everything else, maybe it would be a nice break. Will have to see if I can fit it in.

Happy day to you all!

Chilly and damp today. Took granddaughter to eye appointment this morning and it was short enough that I was able to take her to school for the rest of the day.
Sewing today until it's time to help daughter at the barn with therapy lessons.

Hah, same way I feel. Usually I won't throw them away but plant them in some random area on the property where I know they have a 0.5% chance of surviving but my conscience can rest assured knowing I tried. Rolling on the floor laughing

Johannian: that made me laugh. I'm glad you plant your extras! Better be careful though or one summer you may find some gigantic plant long left ago that is its own new species.

AM: my tomatoes look better! I gave a week fertilizer since they are still in the basement and they are happy happy again. So yay for that. Plus the fan is on them now and they are looking pretty good.

And tomorrow I may start bringing plants on out to the porch. Woot! Ok, just the ones that can handle some cooler nights. I think they'll do ok. Or maybe I'll just leave them out during the day and still bring them in at night. These would be the geraniums and coleus, liatris and whatever else looks like it can hack it and be strong.

I'm so ready to plant. According to the accu it looks like tonight might be our last frost Crossing Fingers! woohoo!

So I think tomorrow I'll head for the greenhouses. I'll work on the dress soon, dinner is a tater tot casserole and in the oven. All is moving and I don't feel as lost as I did 2 hours ago.

Have I said dealing and running my mom's world is an awful lot and sometimes hard and really thankless? I don't see my brothers stepping up.l with the day to day. My sisters are helping as they can and actually offer to help.

Anywho, it's a lot to keep in balance for me.

Sorry you have so much going on with your mom's health. I will keep her in my prayers. Group hug

It was a beautiful, non windy day today but I only got go spend a little time in it. First thing, I did a little weed eating around flower beds. DH mowed for the first time. He is getting along pretty good now that he can put weight on his right leg.

I did some weeding in the Iris bed next to the drive way. Then I started cleaning up some Iris in small pots that were outside all winter. Some need to get put in the ground (soon) and some need some TLC.

Then I filled 4 five gal buckets almost full of dirt, put them in my red wagon and added them to the raised bed next to the She Shed. I took a short break and then went out and did the same thing. Tomorrow I will have to add a few more and then, if I have time, I can start planting potted Iris in this bed and the one next to it. Hurray! It would be nice it I could get this done before Friday's rain but it isn't going to happen. Sad
