I'd love to get in on the sharing, but nearly all of my irises were bought or gifted to me this year!
I'll check Cherry Tart for Marilyn, and I have a note that Stretchworth(sp) would like Sea Power. That's a distinct
possibility because I received four! A couple as bonuses.

omg - just after writing this I saw the thread notice that stetchworth had passed away. RIP, Vi.

It's OK Jan, all of my irises are 1 or 2 years old too. It's hard to be patient while they grow...but some of the generous members here are happy to send extras that they need to thin in exchange for postage....so even though you don't have many to trade you can still get in on the sharing. Hurray! Hurray!

Thanks, Marilyn. I've been the happy recipient of rhizomes this year from several members here,
but I'd like to be able to reciprocate.

I understand how you feel Jan, but in a few years we are going to be the ones with lots of extras to share too. Smiling

Because so many of my Iris were received this year, my trade lists are long-term--sort of my very own five-year plan for plants. Big Grin By the time the requested ones are available, I do/will check to see if they are still wanted. If not, no big deal. If so, someone is made happy. I like the idea of making people happy. I'm beginning to believe that a watched iris doesn't grow. Glare I walk my beds every morning and every night (I have to repair daily squirrel damage Angry ). I swear they weren't showing any signs of new growth. So over the last few days I didn't really have much time, but to quickly walk through the beds and look for dug up irises. Well today I had some more time on my hands and noticed some irises went crazy and sent out several increases. Yippie! Hurray! There are even two of them with bloom stalks! Yippie again! Hurray! These are irises I planted last year and are now settled in and happy. A few of them are still ho-hum on growing. So I may relocate those slow pokes this Summer.

Anyway, all my irises (except the NoIDs) are all 1, or 2 years old too. I can't wait to be able to corrupt...err enable someone! nodding

You go Rob!
Just found out we had the second wettest year on record here in NC. Not the best thing to go along with my biggest iris acquisition year. Better get out the fungicide early and keep checking that none rot. I want to see all these new wonders bloom!
