Besides...though Commander TuTu is more socially acceptable...we all know what it really means!

@Debra, I forgot to respond to your question about whether I had found the 'motherlode' of Tom Burseen irises. I'm sorry to say I have not. I got a lot of them from Blue J Iris 2 years ago, then added a few more last year. I was actually meaning to ask you the same thing since you found so many this year! I definitely want to find more of them to add. He lives in your neck of the woods (although I realize Texas is a huge state)... did you say you had a number or address where he could be contacted?
I did notice that Superstition Gardens is adding quite a few this year!

Marilyn, I think it s Leslie(?) who is collecting Burseens. But I do have an address for him. Will tree mail it to you.

I like 'Party's Over'. Bought a couple plants of it through Superstition Garden.

I'm afraid we would have to get creative on that one. The name TuTu was used to name an iris in 1962...and I don't think it's available anymore...at least I havn't found it so far! There are a variety of other TuTu irises:



I could not find Pink TuTu, or White TuTu.

I found a picture of Taffeta TuTu ...but have not found it available for sale.

One of the closest that is available (generally) is not available this year (at Country Delights)...

TuTu Teal is an SDB, but I couldn't find it either....

Although it's very pretty and available, I don't think it would be very kind to use Hippo's TuTu

So if any of you have any suggestions...I would be delighted to find an appropriate "TuTu iris"...unless the consensus is that Hippo'z TuTu would work!!!

Or perhaps we should help Rob plant a Commando TuTu (or Commander TuTu) iris bed.

Yes Leslie, I agree...but since my seeds have not even sprouted yet we would have to look to someone else for that!!

Or there are plenty who know of Commando Rob that are growing seedlings right now.....

It has a nice masculine color at least Rob. Although a pink may have been more appropriate.

How about rust colored standards & pink falls?
