I think it's pretty and would go well with the color lime green, but "lime green Santa" — um, that part does sound like a nightmare Hilarious!

Confused
I did — in response to Lucy's question.

Heavens, I have never seen you be rude, Zoe! Sorry for being easy to misunderstand. *Blush* just another example of how things can get muddled online.

Lucy, I can't quite see that peachy color going with lime green, personally, I love lime with purple though. So I'd pick a really dark red poinsettia with a lime Blinking Santa.
Plant it and they will come.

L's had tons of holiday cacti in bloom & poinsettias when I stopped by today. And non-hardy Cyclamens. Would have loved to have found some flaming Katy (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana) in other colors that I don't already have but there were none, blooming or otherwise.

I have florist cyclamens coming up all over my yard. I first planted them on the hill behind my house with the Japanese Maples, dogwoods and azaleas but they've spread. They go dormant in the hottest part of summer but will be back soon. I took these in March.

Aww, nothing like I imagined. More of a muted lime green. Sweet face. 🤗
Fantastic cyclamens!

Kalanchoe buds are not as developed this year as they have been in previous years by this time. Still worth giving as gifts to enjoy for the next few months.

Wax Begonias by the window are still blooming here, and Streptocarpella. Air plants just finished. I'm always so busy when they do that, rarely get a decent pic. Have some buds on a Kleinia. Callisia elegans keeps blooming.

What's blooming out there?

I see these in Key Biscayne
The first, a Euphorbia some sort? Wild guess

Second, reminds me of Mandevilla except much smaller flowers and many more.

You've probably seen bits about dumping the name Poinsettia. Wikipedia cites a source saying the Aztec word translates to excrement flower, because birds poop out seeds and spread it. Rolling my eyes.
Plant it and they will come.

The first is Euphorbia punicea, Jamaician Poinsettia. I think we better keep the name poinsettia. I sure can't say Cuetlaxochitl.

I think the second is Ixora.

Correct on both, I believe, Lucy.

When people are so resistant to any genus and species names, I can't imagine getting that name adopted in this case.
Plant it and they will come.
