Yayyyy, Barbara! You have beautiful gardens and I like that picture too! lol Gardens, like any other thing on this earth, are either growing or diminishing perpetually. And change is their nature. I have a friend that works in her garden every day. That is the only way she maintains it to her specifications. I don't work in my garden every day and when my back is turned the plants are up to their old tricks either taking over a bed, usurping another plants water and nutrients, shading out irises or just deciding to leave that bed and jump into another. Thank you for sharing your garden photos.

I ordered 2 plus years ago, I was happy with my order and he included a newer intro of his. Very nice in email back and forth.

Jan, I ordered from International Irises last year. I ordered 5, and got 3 bonuses. They were decent rhizomes.

Been looking at some of the Iris on that site, then came back here to check on Filardi--he has close to 200 he has hybridized and some good-looking ones, at that. Plus, I am seeing previously unknown (to me) German hybridizers names that have some gorgeousness going for them, too. He doesn't have a lot of photographs on the site, so research will be a long-term project--I'll keep at it, though.

Thank you everyone, with the drought just picture most of the green grass as brown weeds with a bit of green grass mixed in.

Some folks 'round here resorted to having their lawns spray painted green.

Seriously, Debra? Wouldn't that kill the grass? Smother it so that it couldn't grow again?

They have a "special" vegetable-based *dye* they use to spray on grass, in order to give it a nice, green color. It's not done much in our area (if at all !), but I have seen it used, and talked about, on different TV venues....I think they sometimes use it on the *greens*, on golf courses.

Arlyn is right--doesn't hurt it at all and is environmentally safe to use.

Well how about that!! Learn something new every day!!

Just don't let the cat roll in it until after it dries. It will not hurt him but he will stop traffic for a bit.
