The thread "Schedule for 2015 Kevin Vaughn Hybridizing Clinic" in Sempervivum forum

It is about sempervivum, but we have a most wonderful time going through Kevin's gardens. They are beautiful and interesting.

That would be something else! I have not visited that side of the country before. I would be tickled pink to see such gardens. It would be all new to me as a Texas gardener. Born and raised in Texas. When I see other gardens in climates other than mine I get a bit giddy!

My sedums think it's spring. It must be spring, right? Oh well, soon enough.

Color everywhere! And almost nothing died over the winter. I noticed that the lineare variegatums died back entirely like their larger cousins and the pachyclados receded pretty severely, but all the other groundhuggers kept a presence all winter.

Might have lost some of the mid-size ones, but I'm going to chalk that up to all the Grumbling Grumbling Grumbling feral cats tearing up my beds and plants so they can fail terribly at burying their excrement. SIGH.

I wish I had a good camera, I'd post some pics...but I'll the ones I'm getting from my phone for my visual log are kind of embarrassing compared to the ones y'all post Hilarious! . OK...maybe just one. Here's one of my front yard mixed sedum test beds, the smaller of the two:

(Make sure to click, it's a very wide pic).
There are also two types of jovibarba as well as a couple of vagrant semps in there as well that I had to move to keep away from the aforementioned plant hating ferals. I can't wait to see how everything fills in this year - chaos and color!

Very nice ofm, great photo. S. pachyclados always goes dormant during winter at my place. Always come back in a nice tight mound.

Will you be able to come to the clinic in April. Sure hope you can.

That's still the plan...but we're dealing with a bunch of unexpected unpleasantness right now so... everything is up in the air. If you need to plan or not plan on me being there like someone else needs a spot or something? Then plan on not, and maybe I'll just be a surprise that shows up to the clinic portion.

Is there anyone here interested in sedum from this list? If there is enough interest Mamajack will do a co-op for sedum. If you have any sedum in particular let her know what it is your are looking for. She might even do some of the epimedium from this site. I know of at least 2 that I would like to have.
