OMG!!! Love all the pics!
I need to get more Lilies!
Does anybody know of any lily bulb co-ops coming up?
Are there any that bloom in August?
Here's some blooming for me right now.
I have a few other varieties but I think I've lost the tags on most of them.

Vicky,

Pam (Woodthrush) just had one. I don't know if she has any left or not, plus she might have an upcoming one. You could ask her.

The thread "More Lily Bulbs at Clearance Prices - Co-op by Woodthrush" in Classifieds and Group Buys forum

I have some Orientals that bloom in early August.

Your pictures are gorgeous!

Vicky, I'll have to let you know when they bloom. I don't keep good track of my lilies.

Tracey can probably tell you which ones bloom late for her, too.

Were you able to get some in the co-op?

If you like OTs, the American series is quite nice.

But for some really special ones, I order from The Lily Garden. Faraway Flowers and B and D Lilies are supposed to be very nice also. More pricey, but special.

If you're looking for less expensive and quantity, John Scheepers has a nice selection or Brent and Becky's bulbs.

Later blooming lilies...a lot of the latest blooming ones the sources for the bulbs aren't really there anymore. "journey's End' is late and beautiful, but hard to come by. Summer's End is a Buggy Crazy late bloomer, but a source is not available.

Dizzy is a later blooming one as is Sumatra. Black Beauty tends to bloom long and late. lilium rubrum is a real late bloomer too and is one sometimes found out in commerce, also a particular variety called 'Uchida' which is a particular clone of rubrum.

I hope that helps.

My favorite thing for the day is an oriental seedling and her first bloom. It is from Buggy Crazy seed started at least three years ago, maybe four. It is a Summers End x Mixed late crop.

Well congratulations on your success with the oriental seeds. It's a pretty flower. I have two O seedlings out in the patch but who knows when they will get around to blooming. Judging from the itsy stalks, it sure won't be next year!

Does anybody know if I can get on a mailing list for lily co-ops
or any gardener's out there who sells them?
I saw the woodtrush co-op but I'm going to pass due to them being sent and
planted now.
I tried that in 2008 and I lost most of them.

mamajack usually has some co-ops (through Cubits still I think) at appropriate planting times...ie fall and spring. Somebody usually mentions them around here when they come up.

Advice taken Anthony. I think I just needed to see something bloom in the oriental seed family, to actually believe it was possible. Once you grow them from seed, you can see why orientals are often the ones with the heftier price tags.

Tracey, ROTFL over the new car!!

Vicky, I love your avitar!

Both your Lilies are beautiful, and close to the house, so you can smell them first thing. My goal is to get mine planted downwind.

Sandi, your avatar is beautiful too. I must be missing roses, LOL!

Tracey, Summers End IS beautiful! They all are! A lily is so elegant, sigh.

Salmon Jewel is gorgeous!

It's good to know which lilies are difficult to start. I hope you get some good ones!

My order of Lily blooms, going backwards in July is:

21st - Sumatra
20th - Dizzy
19th - Casa Blanca
19th - Aubade
17th - Nippon
17th - Black Beauty

I have more, but those bloom the latest and that's all of them bloomed now.

Thank you Lily.

Here's some more blooming today. Seems like even the late ones are blooming earlier this year. I usually have some late ones going into September, but not sure about this year. The heat must have taken its toll.

'Miss Feya' has much more enormous flowers than I actually capture here. It's really a lovely, lovely specimen!

Hadn't grown this one before but have been very impressed by its unique coloration. 'Mondriann' Beautiful, beautiful!

Smaller flowered oriental, slightly larger than those of 'Angelique', a shorter growing variety with interesting color. If only I could find the tag! I think it is 'Heart Effect'
