I purchased this lily 2 years ago. It wasn't from The Lily Garden, but I did e-mailed Judith and she told me that it wasn't a good Tetra. (I didn't send her a photo) I have seen other photos of this lily on this forum and they looked yellow. Mine is pink. Are there two of them or was I sent the wrong lily. Here is a photo taken last year....

ELUSIVE

It looks like Elusive to me. It is probably one of those more variable OTs. I got mine from Faraway Flowers as a bonus but it didn't last a year. I suspect that is why Judith says it isn't a good tetra. It is susceptible to virus.

Pard, check the photo on page 2 July 20 posted by Mag. To me it looks white/yellow, not pink. I also got mine from Faraway flowers.

Mag's is also correct.

From the 2001-20002 LG catalog quoted:

"Elusive (C-P) To describe its color requires a description of the weather that shaped it. With cool nights, each flower will be completely washed with a soft pink, and with warm ones, the soft yellow will predominate, with just a touch of pink at the tips. 4 to 5 feet and more, early August."

So mags has warm nights and you have cool ones. The photo in the catalog is quite beautiful, with about 1/3 yellow in the center and then pink out to the tips.

This was put in the ground as 'Anastasia' in the spring of 2009, but it did not bloom that summer. Last summer it bloomed and it was not 'Anastasia' it was ID'd as 'Elusive', it grew to 7ft. tall.
This summer it grew, and grew, and grew until one plant reached 9 feet even and the other was 8ft.9" .

Yeah, I get the faded colors due to my weather conditions. They are the same lily Mike, your colors are just more vibrant. Here in the Midwest I don't get much of the color that you guys do in other areas. Your 'Elusive' is precious.

Yes, Judith said it is prone to virus. I'm keeping mine until it fizzles. It's got great form and stature.

"Thing" describes that one pretty well.

I discarded my Elusive when I noticed the leaves looking a bit more twisted than I am willing to tolerate. And knowing that it is susceptible to virus, well... I got it out ASAP!
