Tracy, GORGEOUS! Just the blooms I need to see since we're getting colder. I started to dig mine and pot them up till I find a better place for them. So, they are in the garden, green as can be and I haven't opened up a place for them yet.

Michael, ''Elusive'' is BEAUTIFUL!!

Celeste, BEAUTIFUL!!

Moby, still beautiful, but you were robbed! I'd tell the company and get a free bulb out of them!

Uh... yeah, I would do that but it was my own lily society. And whoever the vendor was ~ and we had several. Confused
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

Sad to see the season to a close, but also welcome planting season! It gives me promise for blooms of next year and excitement forward. Lots of garden work to be done the next month or so.

Time flies, doesn't it? Summer seems so short lived.

Moby, laughing behind my hand. Oh dear!

Thanks Anthony! I really missed everyone and am anxious to get back to everyone's lilies, iris and daylilies :o)

Tracey, I hope everyone gets a decent year next year!

I hope I find a good place for my Lilies I've dug up. I want them near a door or window so I can smell them!

Hi MrDad!

Well, the lilies aren't by a door or window like I hoped. I was lucky to get them back in the ground before it rained. I did get one in the Alley bed, so that will be a sweet suprise smell as it's Casa Blanca! I did get two smaller lilies moved closer to the side of the bed and I'm happy with that! I barely saw Aubade since the False Blue Indigo really covered it quickly, and Dizzy was also lost in the middle. But, unless it magically warms up, I'm done diggin for the year.

Oh, I so loved browsing through this thread! Now I really wish I hadn't spent all my plant money for the year on iris! I saw so many here that are going to have to go on my wish list. Tried to look a bunch of them up in the database, and even suggest some images for the database, but couldn't find very many of them in there. Looks like a good "winter day project" for someone a LOT more knowledgeable than me! I planted about 50 lilies a couple of years ago, and find that they are some of my favorite flowers to photograph. Just sick that I lost so many pictures when our hard drive crashed a year ago. Crying

I don't have 50 different varieties; I ordered 3-5 each of a few different ones. Silk Road has been my favorite, with Robina as a close second, because it has such strong, sturdy stems and such intense coloring! It is as tall as Silk Road, but doesn't need to be staked!
I need to add some others, though. I have some "color gaps" that lilies would fill nicely. Thumbs up

Angie,
I've lost pictures too. Now I have an E-drive to store copies on. If the computer crashes I'm covered.

You'll never regret the iris!

Sandi,
Cracking UP! I have a total of 10 different lilies. You''ll get there :o)

Sally, what is an E-drive? Is that the same thing as an external hard drive?

Finally got time to go thru some of the lily pictures and they are drop dead gorgeous!
Was very good last fall and only put in around 20.
But look out this spring, have already ordered a bunch. Wished I had more will power!

Max
