Aww, Spud! Lovey dubby

I studied Russian for a year in college, but that was well over 40 years ago. It is (imho Hilarious! ) a beautiful language, though the alphabet and some of the pronunciation can initially be challenging.

That said, if memory serves, I don't think that 'Wichry Namietosci' is Russian (or Ukrainian)... there is no "W" sound in Russian (and I think ditto Ukrainian). (Perhaps Polish? Or perhaps a really bad transliteration? Confused )
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom

You're right, Poly - Wichry Namiętności (corrected spelling and with accents!) is Polish. It means Legends of the Fall. It's the name of one of the newer Piateks. Smiling

Well - how to ruin your plans for iris orders:

Got in my car to go to work and my tire warning sensor started flashing. Stopped to get the air checked and found out 2 tires had metal in the shoulder near the sidewall. Can't patch tires with those sorts of leaks.

So 4 new tires and $500 + dollars later.... Sad Sad

Sorry you're dealing with that Leslie.

Tom, your reference of unexpected expenses in number of new intros gave me a chuckle! Hilarious!

Good point Daphne. That would have been horrible. Tire sensors are definitely a good thing.

Mika, Lovey dubby Spud!

I'm getting close to needing a new set of tires, Leslie... but at least I've gotten my money's worth... just hate it when you're forced to replace something before you thought you would have to.

On a really happy note.. my daughter and her family are moving back here from the Netherlands, and will be back Saturday. Hurray!
