I broke my favorite coffee mug today, so I'm looking for a new one. I swung the laptop off of the table and I forgot the mug was there. I guess they don't bounce off tile floors like they used too.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to order a good coffee mug? I like them big and with personality to it.

Neal, the brochures advertising organised trips to Holland in spring are already fluttering into the mailbox - beautiful pictures of fields of tulips! I think about going every year - another on for the bucket list :smily:

Thank you Barbara, that was sweet of you to offer. I still have some regular coffee mugs, but they just don't have that same morning appeal to me.....and they aren't as big.

How big, Rob How many ounces? I can make any size. How tall would you like it?

I don't know about measurements, I just like them big.

Jan, I know you're still healing, so please don't go to any troubles for me. I really do appreciate your very sweet and generous offer. Your pottery is beyond amazing and I would seriously cherish your creation.... but I wouldn't feel right knowing you made it while you were in pain.

I'm making smallish things, among them coffee mugs. No 20 lb pieces any more! I'll send you a photo, Rob, when we
have a kiln load ready to fire - in about a month. We always do a fair at the Mendocino Art Center, the 3 days following Thanksgiving, so we'll be making things for that event.

It went right over my head! I was focussed on Rob's mug.

I've had a few favorite mugs in my life.. My daughter absconded with the one that was my favorite when I lived in Hawaii.. My ex broke my next favorite that I got at a gallery in Palo Alto.. A co-worker gave me on that I loved for awhile. My daughter took that one too... My current one is from Andrea Dana-McCullough.. It has a pair of ravens on it, has a comfortable shape to hold, and is large.

Oh my gosh Jan! I didn't realize you work with pottery! I love it, the animals are fantastic! The Crab Pot is beautiful!
I wanted to take ceramics and I managed only to get into multiple sculpture classes but none of them focused on working with clay I did manage a bronze Octopus and betta fish in class but now I mainly paint because it doesn't require a kiln.
