I was working on Christmas wreaths in a garden club member's basement. the radio was going & we saw the TV shorts later. It kept being replayed. Our girls were too young to be worried about it.

Grandchildren are my greatest joy.

I made pies yesterday and rolls are raising. Turkey is in the oven and yams are boiled for candied yams. Table is set. My family is coming at 1:00. My son-in-laws Grandmother is bringing a Pecan Pie and deviled eggs. My Sons girl friend is doing the mashed potatoes. This is the 6th time I've been the main cook for Thanksgiving since my Dear Wife passed. Its hard not to be a little melancholy. Have a wonderful day everyone........

I'm doing all the cooking for today but luckily my family is on the small side so nothing too crazy. Well, pies are done, (apple, pecan, and pumpkin) Corn casserole is baked, turkey is in the oven. Sweet potatoes are roasting. Wine is chilling. Dinner is at 1:00. Just re-scrubbed the kitchen floor. Now taking a short break while it dries, then will start on the side dishes.
