Welcome to the Hosta Cubit, Lee! We do have a swap form where people have posted the hostas they have and those they are looking for. I'd certainly trade with you...but I recently moved to my place and my most mature hosta is only a couple of years old (with the exception of the undulatas and lancifolias that came with the house.)

Anyhow, enjoy! I look forward to seeing you on the chat forums. Smiling

Welcome Lee, glad to see one so "UP" on Hostas, as for me, I'm a newbe, but I'm facinated with the unusal beauty of the Hosta. Mike

Hi everyone. My name is Marti and I am new to hostas. I just bought a 3 gallon pot of hosta for $14.99. Seemed like a good price to me. The hosta's name is Guacamole and it has started to bloom. Large white flowers. I think I will be getting more hostas as I expand the partial to full shade garden.

Nice to see you here, Marti! Guacamole is one of those lovely, hardy hostas that I wouldn't be without. You found a great deal! You'll find that hostas are like Lay's potato chips..you can't have just one! Come join us on the other threads. We'll make sure that your cravings increase! Thumbs up

OH I'm already looking at others to buy. Especially at that price. The nursery says they don't want to over winter them and than divide them so they are trying to sell off as much as possible.

hostadork said:hello ...my name is Lee and I have a 1/4 acre lot in Schaumburg, Illinois...my hosta are so big I am hoping to trade a bunch. I have 150+ varieties and can shop at a local wholesale place (can you say group buy???)...Maybe get a trade database going(might be one here already)...I have a facebook hosta group started. I have between 400 and 600 plants -big ones ... blue angel -3x6 feet and sagae -3.5x5 feet,... and little ones... teaspoon and grand prize and all in between...I need atom smasher, little sunspot, illicit affair, blue ivory and tick tock...for now lol email your needs and hopefully we can chat. I also speak at garden clubs about the almighty 'H' and have given away hundreds of hosta in past years to friends, family and some shoppers that come by now and again...I am happy to share my love of this wonderful plant with anyone...take care Lee [email protected]

Sorry for not introducing myself. I have very little shade and mainly collect mini hostas. I enjoy being here and seeing all your beautiful pictures. Great eye candy. I'll be looking next year for a coop offering mini hostas but also have seen I can buy from Hallstons.

Thank you to Diann, Colette, & Gary for making this cubit a reality!
