Tarev -- Welcome to the Hosta Cubits.

I can attest to the 'enabling'

I 'found' hostas when i bought into an RV Park in Wisc in 2006, and the yard had "some" ... now i have over 80 named hostas, a good handful of NoID's and about 20 at my 'real' house in IL in a shade of my garage. [only shade i have at home]

Couldn't think of a better addiction to have.

Hi all! I'm a newbie to the group, but have been lurking and reading. I've only been collecting hostas for a short time and have collected right at 100. I only have one shade garden so I'm working to correct that 'problem' as I NEED more hostas!! Thumbs up

I'm new to this thread...have been posting on the other channel and also iris and rose cubits. I grow quite a few hosta and am obsessive about taking pictures. I'll open a thread and post some later.Thumb of 2011-05-08/Paul2032/36b815 Liberty

Hi, Em! Better watch out with that "hostarookie" name--we're all enablers and we'll have you a full-blown hostaholic with a large collection in no time. Whistling

At 100 hostas, you've got me beat, though! I don't think 100 qualifies as a "rookie." hehe

Paul, thanks for sharing the pictures! Those are definitely a couple of gorgeous hostas.

Paul -- I have both Liberty and Montana Auero. they are both stunning... I can not wait until mine get a bit bigger... or just "grow" even... my Liberty has been 1 eye for 3 yrs... so this is the "leap" year, right??

can't recall on montana... maybe 2-3 eyes... but i have a photo of one that is enormous.... and that is my dream...

Hi my name is Stephanie, I'm from Iowa and love gardening "as in flowers not veggies" and photography. I started my own hosta garden last year and now I'm hooked! I came across your forum due to I was trying to identify some of my hostas that I have received from friends/family that came with no names...."who's gonna turn down a free hosta" I'll try and post some pictures later Thumb of 2011-05-22/GreatPyrenees09/0df4ae

It's funny you asked me that since my husband and I measured it a few wks ago thinking about adding some pavers/bricks of some sort for edging. We measured it from one fence post end to the other end and came up with 93 feet but didn't measure the other side yet that sits north & south.
I have around 86 varieties of Daylillies and some I have multiples of some and more in back of the house and all are labeled! "thank goodness" I do have other perennials within the Daylillies as well. I tell ya, I sure don't enjoy weeding the beds!

My hostas are all growing well. The Gucamole is getting bigger everyday. I guess this fall I'll have to divide it.
