The photo of Dangerous Mood and Edith Wolford look correct also. I was surprised too.

I am with you Mary Ann. It is hard to find Owyhee, so for it to be at Lowes is rather a miracle. Though Schreiner's seems to send a lot of their iris to Lowes.

I didn't know there was so much love for Owyhee desert it is so different. I live 2.6 hours away from Schreiner's. I plan on going there next year, but I want to include Mid-America Gardens too. Iris that I bought at nurseries in pots last year. Starship Enterprise and Conjuration.

Thank you, Iris seem pretty happy here. This hot weather is wearing the less watered ones out.

Hi everyone. I just finished going through this whole thread from the very beginning. I want to say thank you for sharing all your beautiful Irises.
The only Iris blooming for me now is a Japanese that was labeled as Darling. I saw one exactly like it a couple threads back, posted by Neal.

There was a very dark purple NoID at one point that I couldn't find again after. It looked a lot like the only NoID I have, if the person that posted it recalls, did you ever figure out what it was?
Here is my NoID Dark Purple

Take a look at 'Interpol'. I found it by going to the plant database and searching black and TB.. You'll have to google up some more images to see if it's a good fit.. and of course, compare ht. etc. in Database...

It looks very similar but this year my Iris never looked as black. So not sur eif that is normal for black Irises, possibly depending on weather.

Ok, I just enlarged that image and the first thing that jumped out at me was the center of that cluster of blooms, it looks like a baby's head. Rolling my eyes.
