Got all the new garden bed cleaned up from the post Matthew mess. Besides losing the main fan on Clotho's Web, all the iris were in great shape.

Started clearing out the large bed behind the house. That is going to be a major project. Thumbs down Some iris need to be unburied, some need to be re-buried and a lot need to be lifted enough to straighten them out as they are sideways with some increases buried and some sticking up in the air. The heavy rains really moved the soil around much more than I expected.

The good news out of that garden is my Puff The Magic, which had lost all leaves and was sitting like a potato, now has two really good increases!!! The bad news is one of my Please Kiss Me now has no leaves.

Rained a little yesterday, and a lot this morning...well, a lot to me, since we've had nothing for so long! Blinking We're supposed to get four more wet days. Loving it.

It sprinkled this morning, but I know more is on the way. I may go out and lightly spread (and scratch in) some fertilizer on some iris beds.

We got 2 1/2" (in our rain gauge) last night. Hurray! and the ground soaked it up nicely.

It looks like the west coast is in for some major storms. Not sure I would want to be in Seattle or Portland this weekend. Glad California will be getting rain out of this though!

Maybe at most, a 1/4" so far, it's a heavy mist, with a light drizzle out there. I wanted to work in some fertilizer, but I got soaked. So I'll wait until after these storms and work it into the wet soil. The squirrels have gone bonkers on the beds today! The rain has put them in hyperdrive to get ready for Winter.

So I'll have a relaxing day and work on updating my database.

Am I squared away with everyone? Do I owe anything that I promised, or shipping that I forgot? I want to close out the season and make sure everything is all settled up.

I noticed in my notes today I still owe @Lestv 'Art At Dawn' still. If you don't have it, this spring I'll bring it for sure. I have it in two spots I think.

Gabe, you can bring it to Thelma's. Think of what you may want in exchange. You only have about six months to decide. Hilarious! And Thank You!

Rob - we are more than square on my side. Have Tuscan Sun as your start on next year.

Cleaned the spoon bed tonight. No losses in this garden! Had to lift a few that were buried, and some don't look like much but all will live to see another spring. Whew! Only a few more gardens to go...

I agree So far so good! Thumbs up

Storm here, nothing big, but makes it too cold to do much outside. Only ventured out to make sketches of the new beds, so I can work on up-dating my maps - inside where it's nice and warm!
Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice!

I noticed a bud arising from IB Double Overtime yesterday. It was just planted a few weeks ago, and that was after sitting on a tray in the living room for several weeks. It is also showing nice increases, so I don't think the premature bloom will slow it down much.

Cleaned out my dwarf bed today. Took hours and hours. There were a lot to unbury. The ring is slightly domed in the middle. So how did the iris highest up get buried? Blinking

Anyway, the SDBs I got from Tom, Arlyn and Neal the summer before last are major clumps now. And despite being buried everything in this bed is thriving. Will have a LOT of medians to divide next year!

Will have to raise a few clumps that have sunken into the soil too far. Soil getting softer? Treatments working to add organic matter must be helping. Figured it would be too early to tell.
Several warm days coming up so should be fairly comfortable doing these outdoor chores once again, and without a jacket.
