Except that the rain has exposed a leak around a skylight...over the bed!

I hope he fixed it Jan. It'll be dry and sunny this week, so it should be looked at and patched again.

My rain gauge shows under 1.5 inches total. It's not nearly as much as Barbara, but I'm still a happy camper.

I haven't wanted to bore you with my work every day, but for parts of two weeks I have been preparing new beds. No raised beds with boards around with grass between. just ground level with dirt paths. Am going to use pre-emergent in beds and paths. Got nine planted last week and hope to report another 70-80 this coming week. Still have one big area to clear for that biggest bed. Trying to save two clumps of Spurias in the midst of weeds and grasses. Want to dig in a little more compost in what is almost ready.

Rain coming in tomorrow night, so will be doing some genealogy on Monday for my client. Maybe a little housecleaning too.

It's been raining like crazy after several months of dryness. I lifted my dahlias, and threw my borage in a heap. That was supposed to taste good & be pretty, but it is so prickly & weedy Thumbs down .

We had rain too! Hurray! Nothing major, but it's a start!

Borage! I love Borage! I use the flowers in salads and to decorate dishes and cakes - but I agree, they are prickly things. On the up-side, they will sow themselves, grow anywhere and the bees love them! Thumbs up
Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice!

Some faded markerst received some new paint pen ink during my lunch break. Hopefully they'll be easy to ready after the winter.

I lifted all the iris in my back garden today. I had enlarged the garden and decided it really needed tilling to break up the soil and get rid of all the roots. While lifting iris I found numerous spider/ hurricane lily bulbs! Hurray! Also found numerous clumps of mystery spring bulbs. Will replant some of these and see what shows up!

Got the space tilled. Gives me a good 10 foot by six/seven foot space. The lifted iris had lots of increases so if anyone needs Gypsy Romance, Clarence or Quaker Lady then I am your gal. Have lots of Michigan Pride too but feeling selfish about that one! Smiling

Now I am very tired. It was hot lifting in full sun today. Suppose to be a "super moon" tonight. Have not seen a glimpse of it yet. Darn.

Keep me on a possible wait for MI Pride. I have one tiny one with zero increase.

Will do Gabe. Mine had quite a growth spurt this year after a so so year last year. It is so pretty, but getting harder to find. Not many vendors are carrying it anymore so I want to keep enough to always have it around. With patience your tiny one will grow and hopefully increase. I have so many that start small and then somewhere before bloom time get huge.

It's survived thus far and the squirrels haven't touched it once. Hurray! They've dug every in that section especially my Deb rhizomes Grumbling some twice. Guess they know better than to mess with MI Pride.

Planted some mother rhizomes along my barbed wire fence.

I wonder if I'll find any night raiders stuck on the fence in the morning.

I tried to do some weeding yesterday for a while, and got so muddy I gave up after an hour or so. I'll give it a try today, maybe things dried out a bit more.
