The storm went to the south of me. I got a lot of sound and fury but no hail... thankfully. And no storms. There is a front at the western edge of the state but it does not look damaging at this point. Hope all the folks in Illinois are safe. I HATE tornadoes!
It was very hot today. Almost 90 and with a strong south wind. The little irises just curled up, some of the stalks bent over like a swans neck and little shindig opened three blooms and were curled inward by noon. It is not in a pot and in the full sun. It was too hot for it today. Haven't seen such a warm spring in a long time.
Here are a few blooms from today
Bantam Prince, this is a short little guy with medium sized blooms. The falls are round instead of elongated.
Gimmick. This is a very sweet little iris. The blooms are small but quite distinctive. My photos cannot capture its charm. I got this from another ATPer.
Leopard Print. Another one I cannot capture a good photo of. Every new bloom that opens up is a bit different.
Little Chestnut. This is an older one that I really like. I took these in different light.
Naples Syrup. This is a newer iris and it has been reported that it reblooms a lot during the summer and fall. If so I may need to pot it so I can give it some shade. I do not know if it will always be small but the blooms were tiny. It is sweet and may bloom bigger its second year. It increases quickly.
Nut Ruffles. A little more brown than my photo shows.
Pixie Princess. I may have posted this one already. It is shorter and has medium to small blooms
Scream. For those who need ruffles this one has some.
Snap It Up. This one is different for an SDB. It is a bit small but it makes a good clump and is outstanding with the rim color on the falls matching the standards.

Thank you.
Linnea, the little white one is the only SDB I have ever found that is all white. While white is not my most favorite color it is very important in a garden.
It is not light enough to be in the garden yet this morning. But it is cooler than it has been for a few days. Maybe that will slow things down a bit.

And mine are very early this year. If this year were a normal weather year my blooms would be later than yours. I think my iris bloom season will be shorter by perhaps two weeks or more. And, they are blooming out of sequence.

I haven't checked the sequencing of mine yet, but looking at my logs, mine have started two weeks earlier than last year. On the other side of the coin, my TB's look to be behind schedule (except for Las Vegas that is a very early bloomer and has a bloom stalk already).

Beautiful Bonnie! I see what you mean with Aladdin's beards! Guess all the rain around here put the fire out before mine got fried. Haa. So very nice to see Nosferatu. So pretty. Love Trimmed Velvet, especially the dark falls. And your Turtles are looking good.
