I tried for awhile to get on ATP and kept getting that error message. Finially got a page that said you would be back up soon. So I shut off my computer and went to bed to go to sleep. I knew it would be back today. Hurray that all is fixed!

We once had a power outage after a hurricane (1985) - no power for almost 3 weeks. I was very happy that I had knowledge of the 'old ways' learned from my grandparents and parents and we did just fine. The kids had clean clothes and a hot meal every day. And since I was one of the only people who knew where the ice house was two towns away, I made an ice run for our family and three other families twice a week to bring huge blocks of ice to set inside the refrigerators to keep the food from spoiling. It's a good thing I planned ahead as one other thing that doesn't work without electricity is the gasoline pumps.

It was that memory that was running through my mind when ATP didn't work. I was picturing a really big weather event in Texas. Glad I was wrong.

I did the same as Rita, but I knew our hero (Dave) would fix it fast.

YEAH! My slide rule also shrank a lot, the last time I looked at it.

Those numbers and lines could NOT have been that small when I was 20!

We must have gotten bigger, making the numbers harder to see. That must be it.

Those were fun days. It's been a long time since I did an April Fools' prank and I'm not likely to do any more. It was a fun thing in my youth.
