I added it to yet another bed, so It's now in 3 places in my gardens. I don't think I have any other iris in 3 places in my garden. Hilarious!

It deserves it, Tom. You know how many clumps I had of it in my Fenceline Bed. I have shared it, and I STILL have multiple clumps!!! It loves to increase. Green Grin!

It has only been one season, so I am not too worried about it yet.

Hurray! Glad you're here Sally! While the upset at DG is unfortunate, I'm so happy to see so many familiar names again- it feels like a family reunion! Group hug

I am irisMA on DG & irisarian here. I didn't really need to change but I didn't know how sites worked at the time. I paid in Oct for the year so will continue on the bird sites. It just takes too long to post there now.

I tried to quit DG a few years ago and some kind soul paid for a subscription for me. I had to stay after that. Thankfully a new wave of people are leaving and it's more of my friends who stayed during the last upheaval. I agree, it feels so much more like family here!

Lucy,
I'm lucky to be up March 1st. I too will continue there till I'm done.

As for iris, I did not get mine divided. It went from muddy to hard ground and I ran out of time. I'll just lay the borer control on heavy in March and hope for the best.

I, too, have problems posting there.....for some reason, when I 'type" something, there are always a lot of 'missing letters", etc., that need corrected before hitting the 'post button'.....I never have that problem here, or, on Cubits.

What are you using for borer control, Sally ?

Arlyn,
I use Bayer systemic with imitripiclid. Spelling might be off :o) I try to get it on as early as possible in March, if there is no snow on the ground. Dividing always catches a few borers, but I seem to keep them under control. It's funny, bugs don't make me squeamish but I really dislike a huge pinkish borer.

That's what I use, as weel. The "Bayer Long Season Grub Control", in the liquid form. I, too, apply early (mid March), but I re apply in July (as soon as bloom is finished).....except the re bloomers don't get the "second dose". I haven't had a borer problem for a long time.....and don't want one Sticking tongue out .
