The image in the "crook" of the #5 is an image within the "Eagle Nebula". It is called, "The Pillars of Creation".

The two pictures are both of the "Eagle Nebula"'s Pillar of Creation formation. The left picture is from 1995. At that time, this was the best we could do. We could not penetrate into the gas & dust clouds. The image on the right show all of the stars within the nebula that we could not see beforehand. MUCH more detail is apparent in the second exposure.

Many of the iris signs are mixed up, but this one is Abundant Display and it is gorgeous!
