I got so behind in reading all this chatter and now I want to go out and play. Have so much to start mosaics but just never get at it.

I'm going to have to give up Facebook so I don't fall behind in ATP's again.

Pegi, if you do a mosaic project, please please take photos as you go ,for a tutorial for us. I would love to do mosiacs. But I don't have a clue. No, no, don't tell me here. I want to see photos too.

I need photos too and the one I am soon posting will have a step by step photo gallery. Anytime someone wants to make a new one, we can have 6 or 67 threads...no worries. That's what the search option is for.

I am happy to be a garden art enabler. My job is not done though here.

I think instead of limiting it to Styrofoam, lets just say create a ball. (My mind is skipping ahead already! )

I'll post a new thread to this fun idea. It will be our group August challenge. How does that sound? We can have a challenge every month for those who want to play. (different from a contest which receives a prize).

As I'm building my gardens here I got to wondering what kinds of bugs attack some of the plants I have, wouldn't it be wonderful if you do a search of say the Ash Tree and it came up like in plant files with a link or a little area with info on bugs that may attack it like the ash borer. I wonder if that can be done.

Robin, it will....I saw Dave say on a thread around here that he's going to create the best plant file he's ever built.

That would be super to link it with bugs. Or even when it can be done say companion gardening. Like don't plant a lily with a rose. The frangrances blend and sometimes not to good, plus deer love lilies and will eat the roses to get to the lilies. Of course I realize most of this will be how it is added and if the person adding the plant knows these little tricks. But they do help.

I want to add this to the pigs and cows...we have longhorns here in Fort Worth, but I don't have a picture. Here is a moose I took a picture of when on vacation in WA. We drove over into Iowa but not a clue where I was. What was strange was that it was on a balcony!!

It was a on the fly picture, the driver wasn't in the mood to stop! I was shocked it came out at all.

We have pink elephants here but they aren't covered in mosaics. Maybe I should see about that.

Elaine Sammut in Austrailia did a lot of mosaics, even on guiters, over in the first building (DG). She really did some nice work.
