Well, I am waaayy late getting over here. Where have I been????? I have no idea--just been involved on other internet sites--you know which ones. It's hard to keep up everywhere!! I just wanted to check in over here and let y'all know that I have arrived! Aren't you glad??
I want to say "welcome" to Marilyn from Kentucky. I am also Marilyn but most likely considerably older than you! We can call you "young Marilyn" and I can be "that older Marilyn" but don't call me "old" cause I am really only middle aged as I plan to live to 120 years.!!!
As the sign says Marilyn welcome to our ATP Mid South Forum. As will all the other threads, not much posting right now but I feel like over the winter it will be a little livelier!!!!

I might share a little bit of my last blooms. I always try to capture the last pretty bloom of the season to remember the time. I would enjoy chatting over coffee anytime over here. Karen
Busy weekend.... left Friday for the Florala PLant Swap....and had a great time there...
Now as a "newbie" I just have to stress about what to do with all these wonderful plants through the winter !
*had* to go to the Saints game today so didn't get a reprieve to figure anything out..... Had fun but will have to get some quick decisions made FAST.... Right now I'm in the mindset that I do not trust putting ANYTHING into the ground until Spring.... so I suppose I'd better go get some items to do that ASAP... OMG... just realized it is raining here... WOW never expected THAT to happen tonight !
That would be super Jeri ! They get together in April.... We could ride together if you want :o)
Today I worked on getting all my Swap plants settled in for Winter. Bought a big rack for my living room. I brought in most plants I thought needed to be inside... re-potted many.....Read a LOT of info on the internet and wish you had just been here to teach me cuz I sure don't retain much when I read it ! ROFLOL....
LOL @ Mary!!! My grandson Cameron came in from college for the weekend and helped me put up my truly tropicals in the greenhouse. We have completely packed both greenhouses and had to put some in the living room and there is one large ficus that we could not move together with a dolly. I just couldn't bear to cover the burgs as they are really putting on a show and there are seed pods also. I've made my DIL swear when we hear 32 she will help me cover that bed.

It is getting to be that time again. I made a bunch of cuttings and starts of everything I did not want to lose. I`m going to try mulching too. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn`t. Karen
It has never crossed my mind b/c they get huge in pots and once something is in the ground, I seldom dig it up other than to divide or move to another location. I hate digging!!!! The shovel and my ground just don't get along very well!!!!
I had the thibouchina semidecandra(small leaf, bigger flower) in the ground for years and it came back every year except year before last. The thibouchina grandifola(large velvety leaf, small flower) is too tropical for our climate in the ground.

Thank you Jeri ! I got both Tibouchina in the swap... I have 2 of the smaller leaf... may try one in the ground... This will be a difficult winter as I have SO many plants from the swap and will worry about them in pots.. until I can plant in the ground in the Spring.....
